  1. Kept all of my stuff just fine. Looks a bit different, I would not have been able to keep the tabs above the address bar, but luckily that was easily fixed. What's getting annoying, though, is how often it freaks out about a word not being spelled correctly before I'm done typing it. It was nice how it was before when it would wait until you hit the space bar.
  2. It's killing my weatherbug which isn't really essential, but it's nice to always have the weather on the bottom of the screen. Only one I'm worried about is my favicon picker, which makes using my most frequent bookmarks much easier.
  3. Killing two of my add-ons, hopefully it'll be worth it.
  4. You need a gear puller and a press. I doubt it's the synchros. Once you're in gear, the synchros do absolutely nothing.
  5. Yes, but a stock driveshaft is not the same length as a 6.5" lift driveshaft..
  6. Longer rear shaft? U-bolts.
  7. Get a picture.
  8. Anyone got one of the moon tonight? It's cloud covered here.
  9. Last time I used a slide hammer, it separated the bearing instead of removing the whole thing. I still had to pry it off the knuckle. And yes, the bolts were out when I used the hammer.
  10. Do a compression test on the cylinder, and it should tell you if the threads are shot or not.
  11. I have to ask the dumb question before I start thinking about this any further. You were using a 13mm 12 point socket, yes?
  12. When working pixel by pixel, paint is a much, much better way to go.
  13. Wouldn't putting in different rockers affect push rod length? Also, from what I can tell, 4.0 rockers and 300 rockers have the same ratio...
  14. The expensive one is like the rubber gaskets for the oil pan... require no RTV, and you can re-use them if you remove the VC.
  15. The 99 + intake would really only help on a 91-98 4.0. On a Renix motor, the intake ports won't line up correctly with the head, and the higher flowing manifold wouldn't really help any. Plus, even if you got the manifold for under $100, they're kind of a PITA to put on an older 4.0. There really isn't much you can do to get more power out of the motor for even kinda expensive Those bolt-on supercharger kits, last time I checked, were about $4000. If you want more power, look at gearing.
  16. There are no 87-89-1/2 AX-15s. The BA 10/5 was the 5-speed tranny behind the 4.0L from 1987 through the first half of 1989. The AX-15 was a mid-year production change in the 1989 model run. Yes I know. That was a typo. If you notice, the sentence right before that, I said 89-91.
  17. If you get the 79 CJ bushing you need to bore it out. The 79 information was going around for awhile, but the 74 bushing has the correct OD and ID. (From Rockauto) 79 Bushing NATIONAL Part # PB76HD More Information About this Part Bushing; Bore=0.673", Outer Diameter=1.0555", Width=0.63" 74 Bushing NATIONAL Part # PB77HD Bushing; Bore=0.751", Outer Diameter=1.056", Width=0.88" H/D
  18. The 89-91 isn't necessarily easier if you're changing the pilot bushing anyway. The 89-91 AX-15s have the same size input shaft tip for the pilot bushing as the BA 10/5 does. To put a 92+ AX-15 in, you need a pilot bushing for a 74 CJ with a 304. Not a big deal. You will need an AX-15 trans crossmember though. Edit: t'was an idiot.
  19. AX-15 and AW-4 used the same length T-case inputs. The AX-4/5 used the long ones.
  20. All 4.0 T-cases after 90 should be 23 spline... you shouldn't have to swap any input shafts.
  21. Get an angle finder.
  22. Funny how they specify that it will not work with a Rear D44A, but nothing about LP D30s.
  23. Gateway Arch when we visited in 2004.
  24. Either, Neither, or both. It also could have chipped the valve, resulting in metal in the combustion chamber, which could score the hell out of the cylinder walls. You may have to rip the motor apart just to find out what happened.
