  1. 96 has that funky slip joint boot thingy on the end of the TC. Different length output bearing retainer housing. = shortened driveshaft. That would work with the right DS off the 96 up. Except the 96 would be an XJ, and the rear shaft will not work on an MJ.

  4. There is no difference between 2wd and 4wd crossmembers. The difference is between the AX-15's crossmember, and non-AX-15 crossmembers. The AX-15 crossmember has a notch in the middle to let the trans sit down a bit lower, since the AX-15 is so big. I don't think it's enough of a difference to not let you install an AX-15 with a non-AX-15 crossmember, but it'll screw up U-joint angles. AX-4/5, Pukey, AW-4, TF whatever AX-15
  5. Again... why can't you use the 96's 231? There are issues with the T-case inputs swapping. I'm not sure on the specifics of the generations, but I do know that the tooth pitch for the reduction unit was changed at least once. If they're different pitches, and you swap them... assuming it even went in, it would grind itself to death the first time you used 4 Lo or Neutral. One way around finding an AX-15 crossmember is to do a T-case drop the same amount as the AX-15 crossmember's drop in the middle. Granted, an AX-15 crossmember would be the best option, but those seem to be harder to find than they should be. BA 10/5 and AX-15 are the same length. No driveshaft issues.
  6. If you already cleaned it, then yeah, you probably need a new one. Not much else you can do with it.
  7. You can try removing it, and cleaning it with some throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush. It may just be sticking.

I remember seeing at some point, don't remember where, mention of a possibility of having email accounts here. i.e. Geonovast@comancheclub.com My current email provider, who had, IMHO, the best interface and spam filter, has recently changed to the worst spam filtering possible, and such a bubbled up interface that emails show in literally a 780 wide and 90 pixel high box. It's unusable. Obviously I need to switch, but I think it would just be the coolest thing ever to have an @comancheclub.com email.
  10. That took all of 10 minutes to get used to. Here it is, second day, and I'm STILL opening entire new windows!....Just annoying is all. :wall: I scroll-ball click to open links in a new tab. does that still work in 4.0? I didn't know it did that either! Suh-weet.
  11. I've always opened a new tab, then clicked on the bookmark. I have a new tab button right next to my home button.
  12. I've gotten into the habit, that, if I type a lot, I'll copy it before I hit the submit button, just in case Firefox forgets... which it usually doesn't.
  13. Jim, I think you're blaming Firefox for malware issues. If you want firefox gone, it will happily leave.
  14. Why'd you put a stroker in your truck? A stock 4.0 would have done just fine.
  15. Internet browser. In mine, and many other people's opinions, it's 10 times better than Internet Explorer could even try to be.
  16. I'm 20 miles from Springfield. I saw that post awhile ago. Unfortunately I don't have the money or means to pick up the whole thing, and just from the post, the guy seems like he would probably get pissy if you wanted the whole thing.
  17. The problem isn't the drop itself, it's dropping the steering without dropping the trackbar the same amount, causing bumpsteer. If you get a 1" trackbar drop bracket, then the ZJ pitman is fine.
  18. My upgrade gave me 0 problems. The only downside is that two of my addons don't work now, gotta wait for the updates for those... but it told me they would no longer work before I even downloaded the update. Pat, just export your bookmarks before you update.
  19. Jim, did you download a new installer, or did you update in the browser?
  20. Yeah.. Mine doesn't do it with every word, but it's doing stuff like throwing a red line under 'an' before I hit the 'd'. And no, I'm not a slow typer.
