  1. Remember I pointed out to you that your truck popped up in the first page of a google image search for "Jeep Comanche"?
  2. Auto locking or manual? I'd imagine it would still be the same. Same rule applies with 4lo though, never engage it while moving and in gear. You're nearly tripling the gear ratio with a system that doesn't have a synchro.
  3. It's cool. Never a stupid question
  4. Cover the center console storage cover with it too.
  5. No, it's not electronic. There's a physical linkage that shifts the transfercase when you move the lever. You should be able to use your existing linkage on the new TC, but you may have to adjust it.
  6. SelectTrac wouldn't have any vacuum, since there is no CAD. As for your 207, just cap off the vacuum plugs so nothing gets in there. You won't be using them, since you have a non-CAD axle. All the vacuum does is engage the front axle when you put it in 4wd, but since your axle is always engaged, you don't need it.
  7. Pukey BA 10/5. My condolences...
  8. NICE color
  9. Length may be an issue though, I know my 87 NP231 wouldn't bolt up to my 86 AX-4 because the input lengths were different.
  10. What's wrong with the MJ tank? I'm putting an XJ tank in the bed of my 4.0.
  11. They're all identical.
  12. :fool:
  13. That's Genius! :clapping:
  14. No more wing windows...
  15. I believe a 207 should bolt up, as long as the spline count and input lengths are the same. But, you won't have Selectrac anymore, it's a part time case.
  16. I did now... :dunno: :hmm: . Maybe I just don't understand the results, but this looks slow to me... 100 MPH at 6800... ummmm I think you need to change to fourth.... :rotfl2: It's also in Park...
  17. I was thinking of replacing mine with XJ dome lights, the ones with the reading lights built in. Stupid things keep falling out and only one works in one position...sometimes. I don't think the ones in my 4.0 work at all... "Ladybird is NOT a racist!" - HA, I finally saw that episode...now I understand.
  18. No idea. I would assume it's the same, but I was just correcting the WJ years. 05+ is the WK, and I suppose it might be different since didn't they go with that stupid IFS thing?
  19. I had my electric fan run on a toggle in my 88 XJ, but the power was from the accessory spot on the fusebox. Gave me control of it and it always shut off when the truck was off.
  20. :smart:
  21. That, and the shotty V6 prolly couldn't break it if it wanted...
  22. You can use an 89 or 90 too, as long as it has a 23 spline input. The vacuum is just for the CAD, and you can cap those off. Your current electric sender should pop right in where the cable driven sender is.
  23. I can really only think of two advantages to having a selectable CAD. 1. Gives you a 2lo option, which would be good if you have to, say, pull a 1984 Chevy Winnebago van up onto a trailer and you're sitting on concrete, but you do it without that because the 4wd tranny isn't in and I'm very proud of my 3.07 D35 for not breaking) 2. Gives you a selectable locker in the front with just welding.
