thier is a gap between the center pin and the passenger side axel end its a very visable gap the other side is not as big i think maybe that side gear need a shim or something i can pull on the axel and is moves back in forth alot more than the drivers side cause i jacked that side up to see how much play it had and it only had a little play

a few weeks ago my axel came out due to the c clip coming out i put my c clip back in and changed the outer bearing there seems to be to much slack in the axel on passenger side the driver side is tighter i figure the c clip will come back out what could couse all the slack could it be that side gear in the rear end need help

I'm just going to replace the axle from the pasenger side that c clip came out and you can pull the axle out by hand i was a little worn on the end of the axle where it goes into the rear end gears where the c clip holds it i suppose it wore down and thats how the axle worked out so i should probably change it and in stall a new c clip also

well it was not my trans or transfer case but my rear axle came out a bit from the rear end that c clip came out i think i have a 355 rear mine is a 92 4.0 automatic i need to replace the axle from wear what axle can i use from cherokee ect so i can begin looking I'm still changing trans case cause it pops when put in 4 wheel any info will help

well i finaaly got the truck home and got to looking around under the truck and found that i could see the hub sticking out from the brakes the rear axle had worked loose and is sticking out looks like it came loose from that small clamp that looks like a half washer so i still dropped the transfer case couse its going bad but i will replace the axle and possible one of the small gears in the rear i have a wrecked 2 wheel drive hope the axle are the same

hello i have a problem with trans yesterday morning going to work the think just quit pulling in drive lost all gears stuck on side of the road but when i put it in 4 wheel drive it will pull or drive i know the transfer case was going bad because it makes a noise and pops when you put it in 4 wheel drive the truck won't hold in park anymore with engine off it rolls but it will hold when you leave 4 wheel in , you can't put it in 4 wheel unless engine is off then start it if engine is running it grinds when trying to put it in like something spinning is this the tranfer case finally going out or transmision becouse it was shifting great

i have a 92 comanche 6cyl automatic need a transfer case what cherokee years will interchange mine is a 231 , 242 i heard are better

darn gauges i changed my 92 sending unit to a 87 now it reads wrong backwards can i use the gas guage from the 87 to fix the issue since its a polarity issue ior can it be grounded beter or something

hello i have a problem on transfer case mine is bad in my 92 comanche i know somebody who has one from a 86 with a v6 mine is the straight 6 mine is probably electronic while that one is vacumn can i use it or should i find another one possible one from a cherokee what years can i use from a cherokee or is the vacummn one to much work need help
