  1. Maybe the OP can for some reason. :dunno:
  2. Can't you just merge them and then change the title back?
  3. I thought the 2.8 had a mechanical pull-style pump. :dunno:
  4. No, there's only one for the heater. What are you talking about in there? ^ I'm a little lost here.
  5. You should be able to take the L bracket off and move it back since you don't have any lines there.
  6. I'd put the plastic skid back on, may not offer a lot of protection, but it's better than nothing. I've got an extra if you even wanna double up on it. Good idea on the rubber.
  7. Where is the needle? Does it stay in one spot, or just not read correctly? I'd check the wires going to the fuel tank, seen if any of them are broke or worn through. If that's not it, it may be a stuck sender or a dead sender.
  8. Cut the cab off the Unibody 'frame', and build yourself a new frame, so the cab can be removable. I've heard it could be done.
  9. If the alternator died, then it wouldn't be charging the battery. Might be enough juice to power the dome lights a bit, but the radio wouldn't go and it definitly wouldn't turn over. Have you tried to jump start it with anything?
  10. Yes you should be able to install it on a Renix head. What heater hose? There's only the two, and they're the same as a Renix one. The third thing you see is a temp sender for the ECU.
  11. Alternator :dunno:
  12. Dunno how to fix the frame, just wanted to point out... VERY common problem in XJs and MJs.
  13. Does it click if you turn the wheel when you're not moving? If that's the case and it's 4wd, I'd say it's a U-joint on its way out.
  14. Make it a paper weight and use the money slated for the tranny rebuild to find an AX-15.
  15. The only thing I have EVER used a torque wrench on was a head. Everything else is gud'ntite. add: Oh, and Main bearing caps.
  16. Put the belt on.
  17. Between developing the parts, modification, and assembly, probably about 40ish hours, and that's starting with version 3. I've gone through a couple different ones since I was about 17, starting with a very inaccurate V8. And it's nowhere near done yet. I still have to fab up a clutch setup for the single gear trans that's behind it, then make a bellhousing to connect the 2 speed trans I've made. Then there's a T-case, axles... If it were an actual motor.. it'd be about 7:1ish. Can't actually measure though. :shake: Yeah, I know. Being unemployed does that to you. Yeah, yeah we do. Couple that with a carport instead of a garage, and you get this.
  18. Someone pushing 600 HP in a drag car. :brows:
  19. Then he'd have to regear the front.
  20. Make sure you get the 1 piece ones. I know they make the replacements with those tin covers, but it's worth the extra money to get the 1 piece nuts. I picked up a full set for about $37 a few weeks ago.
  21. Who? :hmm:
  22. In Montgomery City. It's at Exit 175 on Interstate 70 about 50 miles out of greater St. Louis. North of the exit about 7 miles. If'n you intend to swing through, let me know when in this thread or email me. PM
