  1. Great to know! Thank you
  2. Changing the axle fluid out of the AMC20 axle and replacing the differential cover with one from OX lockers. The gears look good, but the clutches are shot -> Put the new cover on -> I get the cover on and refill the oil, only to discover an axle seal that made quite a slick on the rim and the floor.
  3. Thank you Desertrat1991. A lot of helpful information . Dang I missed it. I guess I should keep my Q9000 winch that’s on the Cherokee. I was going to sell it with the Jeep, but they can get on their own and save me some cash. I really don’t like going in the mud but some places it’s unavoidable.
  4. I’m looking at winches and was wondering what size I should be looking at? I am checking out the new Warn winches and they have a 8000#, but is that large enough? If I’m being realistic it will probably just be used to pull out of mud holes. Maybe just an occasional trip outside of my state, so not much rock crawling at all.
  5. My vote is definitely get it if you have the room
  6. Hit it pretty good at the LKQ today. Got a notice that a 1990 Comanche was getting put in lot today, so I rushed down. I quickly put the tailgate in my wheel barrel and went to get the ECU but decided to grab it after I took out the passenger side seat bracket (driver’s side was rusted out). Big mistake I guess. A guy came in and removed it as I worked on getting the bracket out . Still a good day -> They wanted $80 for the two tail lights, so I passed on them. Headliner was no good in the front - crumbling because I guess it was water damaged.
  7. It did. It shot off the tire like a ramp 😳
  8. One of my best friends was heading to work in his 1987 Jeep Wrangler a few years back when a girl hit his back wheel. She launched her car off it and ended up flipping her car on to her roof. Both were ok and his Jeep only had a small dent on the corner of it. Another driver captured it on his dash cam. The action really begins at the :50 mark.
  9. Helping out a Comanche in need ->
  10. Beautiful truck - congratulations
  11. What is your opinion on the kit?
  12. Whoo hoo!
  13. I tell you if my attic was bigger I’d have even more stuff!
  14. I never questioned it? Just know my wheels almost fell off and AAA told me the wrong lug nuts were the issue. I had just put the aluminum rims on and used the steel rims lug nuts. They were torque down so that shouldn’t have been the issue. I hope I’m right for the sake of this thread. Did a Google search and it’s not true
  15. I have not. I will have to check it out.
  16. That’s actually pretty cool. Should keep some of that in my tool bag.
  17. Make sure to put the correct o-ring when replacing the fuel pump. The one from Advanced had only one in the box instead of two and it was the wrong one. Fuel poured out 😳
  18. Very nice. Love the look of those rims on a MJ too. Any new plans for it?
  19. 10 years! Better late than never . Oh no, a cracked block. Any way to fix it or will you have to get another block?
  20. Look what I found in the attic Jeep stash. Complete waggy header in excellent condition . I was going to use it on the dually project before I downsized and forgot all about it -> Hmmm - the blue matches the MJ color All kinds of Jeep stuff up here - like Xmas morning
  21. The MJ and Cherokee are still untouched at the shop. I called and he is going out of town for the next 8 days , so I have to have something to work on. I started a build page for my Scrambler above. I forgot how simple these Jeeps are. Not a whole lot to do to it, but now I have some time to work on it.
  22. Good to see this back up to the top. Did you get the TNT kit on?
  23. I want to see how bad that XJ is rusted out!
  24. Amazing action photos. Thanks for posting
