LJRockstar
It a taillight for a 88-96 dodge dakota. I bet with a little bit of work one of these could be made to fit on an MJ. Dakota Taillight
Geonovast
Yup, my mom's boyfriend drives a Dakota, and I've commented on in it being pretty much the same as mine.

The Comanche has 3 bulbs in each taillight while the Dakota has 2.
LJRockstar
I still don't think it would be all that hard to make it work. If there is no way to wire it differently than it wouldn't be hard to add an extra bulb. I could be wrong (Cause I am always driving my MJ, not behind it :D ) but I thought the difference between MJ and XJ taillights (Aside from shape) is that XJ's have a dedicated T/S. where on an MJ both top and middle bulb flash at the same time and overides the brake light on the side that is signaling. If that is the case, than you could just hook up one bulb like on the Dakota. The shop I used to work at has a dakota, I'll stop by at lunch tomorrow and take a closer look. Dakota Taillight I too thought that the dakota lights look very similar, since my bro has a 94. it's close but would take some modification. DansGreyMj
I was at the jy one time and held them both side by side, checked how they would inter-change between the trucks, and they would never work unless you were a good body man.

JeeperjohnfromPA
I'm starting to wonder about these MJ tail lights????? I've heard that they are hard to find, so when I spotted a set at the U-pull-it yard, I grabbed them. Now I've seen taillights several times at that yard and I'm wondering why do people think these are so hard to find? should I be grabbing them EVERYTIME I see them?? DirtyComanche
There's only so many out there, and they get broken often enough... It's like the other MJ specific parts, they're dwindling out as time progresses.
