  1. trail rated? that means it can make it off the car-hauler at the dealer lot without getting stuck, doesnt it?
  2. are you focking serious? have him register it, get the new title, then re-register it...
  3. good thing i WASNT muted on the phone meeting i was having as i laughed my @$$ off at all that LOL
  4. calibrated means : flow tested, ultrasonically cleaned, resealed and flow tested again
  5. Confedneck

    almost

brakes should be checked every oil change on a car like that anyways... so they should clean the sensors...
  6. Confedneck

    almost

that brake system is used on multiple european cars and it works
  7. danaher... tell me some of their deep secrets... lol
  8. i have a shop having an auction soon with one of those, yj front clip, cool little rig but 2wd and 8 lug rear
  9. i sold a full size chevy and 4runner cuz of that... now i still got the girl and have an MJ that she loves to go wheelin in, but still hates it cuz i like to work on it...
  10. The supercharged SRT-8 with a few other mods is what I would do. 650whp and all-wheel drive go hand in hand with each other. Spinning isn't winning..... lol spinning isnt winning, i've a buddy with an awd ss silvy and another buddy with an ss 2wd tb, and the tb walks stock srt8s, and id bet power adder for power adder, still would, 2-300lbs is a big difference
  11. take em off and leave em off, cut the fenders past the cracked paint, no more problems LOL good luck, they will probably be pretty rusty
  12. i had a truck with real 4lo, 6.55:1 first gear and low range, i could walk that old chevrolet anywhere, but still used 4hi... i like wheel speed and vehicle speed... but all i get to ride is mud and sugar sand
  13. if i had the money for an srt8, id buy an ss trailblazer in 2wd... that turbo setup is used on fbodies, hummers, just about anything, works pretty well actually
  14. not looking at the ad, but if the turbo is in the back where the muffler would be, then it's probably a squires turbo kit, requires no intercooler because the aircharge is well cooled by the time it reaches the engine, as well as keeping underhood appearances as stock.. as for the air filter location y'all mention, sounds like a bad idea, but then so does a 2wd jeep built for speed lol
  15. i guess if a hill is a 12' tall hardpack dirt mound, sure.... and if you can't have fun wheeling the way you want to, i suggest you quit wheeling... not so sure ill grow out of mud either... its been my primary off-road experience for the last 7 years and I'm pretty sure it'll stay that way, it's what we got here
  16. the yoke nut will be super tight, once you get that off, a 4hole puller or hammer and 2x4 is a good way to get the yoke off, replace the seal, and replace the yoke and yoke nut, clean the threads on the yokeshaft with brake cleaner and then use some red loctite on the yoke nut, torque it to about 120 ftlbs, that should keep you from over-recrushing the crush sleeve
  17. must be a northern saltsnow thing... worked on vans and trucks that were 15+ years old here that don't have that problem, i think its salt and snow more than its the mud and dirt
  18. you do know i live in florida, right? hillclimbs? not spinning a tire is not an option in the mucky goo we play in, and i havent found a revlimiter yet on my mj, does it have one?
  19. ehh its fixed again, got to play in it last night and little today... gotta get a tj shaft
  20. Confedneck

    my mj

in otherwords the powerwheels is more dirt worthy? lol nice ride, more pics!!
  21. ehh i think its really broken this time... got a nasty grinding noise and no 4wd, got lo range, neutral and hi, but no front wheel drive.... mebbe the tcase, mebbe the front axle again... tj shaft time i think
  22. a little overhang is nice, it lets you know for sure when you've cleared the last of the canal banks lol
  23. hmm, its just a $1k MJ... it was bought to be beat... its gonna need a rebuild on the drivetrain soon anyways... so again i say, i bought one with a 4.0 so i wouldnt need 4lo... the time it won't break stall cuz the tires are that bound up, ill hold it to the wood til it blows... what better excuse to rebuild?
  24. 4 lo? thats why i bought a 4.0 lol
  25. good story here, let me try and make in tolerable to read lol yesterday afternoon, my buddy came over, and he's a catalyst for me breaking trucks and doing stupid $#!&.... we decided to go for a ride in the MJ.... first we headed to a customer of mines shop where they were buttoning up a 1ton LJ on 38s... left there and hit a little easy canal-side trail on the way back to my place. my buddy spotted a hill off to the left so we headed towards it, it's a 4wheeler trail going up, so i figure, wtf the mj isnt too wide.... well made it up in 2wd then dropped the rf tire off the other side... put it in 4hi and back up, turn the wheels hard left and end up in the brazilian pepper bushes, not good, back down the hill, and take the line up it to the right, dead end there... no good either... back down to the trail and around the otherside of the hill.. its almost a straight up climb, but we figured wed get the front tires as far up it as possible, tried it in 2wd, but no luck,,, so put the tcase in 4hi and stalled it up just past the convertor and climbed about 3' and POP KAPOW BANG.... all batman-esque noises.... back to 2wd, back to the house... no broken ujoints, front driveshaft spinning.... last time i did that, i blew a carrier in half on my 1/2 ton chevrolet.... luckily i just didnt have the CAD fork spaced over with wasers quite enough for good engagement... fixed and ready to roll.... better? lol
