  1. Well it will be right at home on the stang. It's a Ford color. Dark Shadow Gray Metallic. It's a tad darker than the Chyco dark gray and looks better at night under the street lights. :D go figure. I thought that it looked like the newer gray that is on the stangs. I just showed the wife and she want's something darker. still on the lookout i guess.......
  2. what is the name of that paint? and what was it from? I think I am going to copy you and put it on my 65 stang!!!! lol ;)
  3. Nice write-up, wish I would have had that when I had my 99 cherokee. I thought for sure that was one of the possible colprits to it not running right. or that it might have had a blown trans. oh well that cherokee has been gone for a couple of years now.
  4. my father in law loves unbutu. I personally don't have the time to play with another operationg system. but he did show it to me and It seems very easy to use and very stable from what he says. I personally have my laptop setup to boot into either xp or vista, thanks to him. I like using xp, a little more stable and a little more control, with less updates needed.
  5. thanks for the tips. I think I am already a member of vintage mustangs. I with you on needing paint. mine is just in a primer state. That is why I need to sell my truck and bike. need the money to pay for paint or pay off the car. ;)
  6. lol, you cut out the important thing 1965 V8 C-CODE I pointed that out because alot of stangs out there have a v8 swapped into a 6cylinder car. good eye though.........
  7. I will deffinately keep this one. that is why I am trying to sell my truck and bike. I feel that it is a good one to stay with for a long time. Sorry to read that you sold yours. that was a nice looking one. I'm sure someday you will find one again. thanks for your comments.
  8. my bad, apparantly I am not with it. to much stuff going on. maybe I should delete this thread?
  9. so what color is that? it looks to be on the same realm that my wife and i have picked for our 65 stang.
  10. so does the situation, or the car sound familiar? Both, someone else a few weeks back made a post very similar to this. Anyone know who that was? So I guess someone else has the same idea, funny. at least he is done with his and is looking great!!! here is his thread. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9895&highlight=stang

  12. So I have been wanting a classic car to have some fun with for many years, and I found this great steel of a deal and bought it. It is a 1965 mustang v8, it is a true mustang because of the vin being a c-code and 5lug bolt pattern. It has had alot of work dune to it already. All I basically have to do is paint it, put the chrome back on, and maybe upgrade the brakes to power discs. I figured that this would be a good one to play with especially since it's my wifes dream car. we are thinking a dark gunmetal color. I made a page for it last night on cardomain at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3151715
  13. A 1965 Ford Mustang GT. this thing is insane. It has many new parts. And we got it for a great price $5,500. so the list of goodies is......... Built up motor 1. Cleveland heads 2. Chevy 202 valves 3. Edelbrock intake 4. holley 4-barrel carb, not sure what cfm, but has electric choke ;) as for the rest: all new chrome, new floor with subframe connectors, all new interior, new tires, Taylor and mallory ignition, and the auto c-4 trans. I think that's it for now. On to the pics Front view Back seats Interior front shot Motor back view So this is the reason why I am selling my Truck and Bike. I figured that this would help bring our relationship closer since this is going to be our car to work on. Turns out that it is her dream car. go figure. ;) lol
  14. very nice looking truck I wished mine looked that good......
  15. I put in 89 cherokee 4dr front buckets. all I did was take the brackets off my old bench and took off the brackets from the cherokee seats. Then put on the mj seat brackets. The only thing that sucks about these is that they don't fold forward as much of the 2-dr models. but it works!!! It took some some time with drilling out rivets/welds on then but after finding the right size bolts/nuts it worked great.
