I searched and didn't see anything like what I've got going on....my blinkers work perfectly....and then nothing....I've pulled fuse block apart and cleaned it....added all the suggested grounds, updated front bulb sockets to 97+, rear is a flatbed with led lights.Β  When they stop working, I wiggle all the wires under dash with no change......then just randomly they work again....when they aren't working i have found that the purple wire on the multi function swith will be blinking with test light but blinkers aren't working....if i had hair I would be pulling it out.Β  Open to suggestionsΒ

could be a loose or corroded connection in the wiring or in the multi-function stalk.Β  those suck to have to track down. :(Β

Β

did this happen before the LEDs were installed?

The most common issue with the blinkers is the front bulb sockets themselves. They get corroded and cause all sorts of strange issues. The only fix is to cut the old ones off and wire new ones in.

Been done when I upgraded to 97+ front clip.....

Something else I noticed today. When blinkers are in FU mode.....and if hit brakes...both blinker indicators on dash light up solid......

Check your hazard switch in the column. I know mine can occasionally get bumped to the point its almost half engaged and causes my signals to do goofy stuff. I just pull it or push it (I don't remember which way is off ) and all is right again

ground loss somewhere?Β

Thats what I'm leaning towards but not sure where to start.....guess with front blinker socket as they were used....not sure if the 97+ were known to have issues but I've watched a few videos whith identical problem and front blinker sockets fixed it....

make sure the little tab in the bottom of the socket isn't squashed flat and failing to make contact.

This tidbit is important. The most likely cause is a bad bulb or socket. You’ve got a short in the system. Look for a bad filament in the bulb or socket issue. Even though you swapped the front clip it’s still very common.Β

I'll throw this in because it worked for me.Β  When I was having some turn sig issues maybe as much as 10y back, I installed 2057 bulbs in the rear even though the manual calls for 1156 in the rear and 2057 in the front.Β  The gremlins went away and they all worked correctly after doing this and have continued to do so.Β  I don't know what the difference in the bulbs really is, or why I even tried this, but regardless it was successful.

I have 97+ fronts and leds in flatbed. Making these upgrades didn't change anything....I feel its in fuse block....I'm going to try to bypass with inline fuse if I can find correct wires

The fuse block only provides power and contains the flashers. The turn signal switch itself may be the issue.Β

The reason I was looking at fuse block was because in the beginning it would change from not working to working if I pushed on the fuse block

If you try the hazard lights, do they flash?

When blinkers magically work, hazards do also...when they quit, both does not work and hitting brake pedal makes blinkers light up....

If you pull the brake light fuse, do the blinkers work?Β
