If you want that, you should ready through some of the older build threads and MJOTM posts.

Here are some of my favorites. A lot of these have links in signatures to other threads too.

I think it’s rad that I made your list. Thanks Carter!

I started thinking about some Of my favorite threads and I started in the Epic section. :nutherround:

So many of these guys haven’t been around CC in years. A bunch of these threads get pretty wild and it’s easy to pull inspiration from all of them.

Again, I’d invite everyone to deep dive into the depths of the Projects and Epic sections!

Exactly why you’re is one of my favorites. You’re still around and there’s a lot of conversation from a lot of others.

I'm around still, occasionally pop over and see something, not always logged in. Been working on other things recently so not much to share jeep wise.

This thread got my falling down the rabbit hole pretty hard!

I've said it before, but I'd invite everyone to start at the end of the Project section and work your way forward. In the old days, there was a bunch of build threads that jumped around not necessarily from start to finish. Why?... no idea. Maybe it was a left over from the Yahoo Group days? There's so many thread titles like "Installing my new bumper" or "the $300 MJ" or "Finally getting around to that lift". This was also before the Epic and Other Project sections so this list has some honorable mentions and double posts from my Epic list. At the time, the real cutting edge stuff was '97+ swaps and big build thread consisted of a drivetrain swap or long arms. What these are for me are some core staple threads that I remember starting in 2006. I apologize for adding some threads that the pictures are all completely or partially dead, but it is what it is. Some are defining threads from members still around and long gone while others are real stinkers that I've held on to for whatever reason. Warning... the list is LONG and probably nowhere near complete! These are builds that have given me much inspiration.

Please enjoy and also please take a step into the way-back machine.  Also, always keep in mind that "Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved."

@neohicWow, thanks for all the new reading material! I never took you for the CC archivist

It's easy for those of us who have been here for nearly the entire history of the forum! :))

Lots of great builds in here. My top 4 for a good read are:

For kicks, lookup a thread called something like: “how to get this screw out” or something or that effect from Jesse J. The premise was, how can I remove that little screw on the a pillar trim near the dash. That’s the first time I’d seen a thread have the “hot topic” tag :popcorn:. Wonder if anyone has the link

I haven't been on here in a good while, but, my Comanche is still with me! Glad I made a list of favorites! Lol

I should update my thread as the truck has taken a bit of a different direction now

Yours might be the longest build thread on the site!
