Finally got out camping this year, only took until fall.:( Went to New Melones lake again since it was quiet, peaceful and devoid of humans last year. It didn’t disappoint, even fewer people, lots of wildlife, mountain lion warnings (didn’t see any) and GREAT weather, around 90°. We even spotted a space capsule.

Sounds like you need to get out and use it more.

Hopefully next year, had some family medical issues this year that made it difficult to be gone for too long.

But if anyone has any project ideas, I’m all ears.

Since @89 MJ asked for it, here is the shower tank. It’s an 8 gallon aluminum tank that’s pressurized up to 80 psi using a tire inflator. I had to make a bracket using 1/4” thick, 1.5” wide flat bar and stainless fasteners for attachment to the FJ’s rack and get it done by today since we’re off camping tomorrow.

Greetings from Lake Berryessa in Napa county CA. We’re the only ones here in the whole campground, it’s magnificent (I didn’t realize I was so misanthropic)! Can’t upload videos from here for the shower update :teehee:, but will when we get back. Here are a couple pics with the new kitchen setup, decided to bring the old Blackstone griddle/burner this time.

That is some Beautiful country

Back in 2020 there were two huge fires that burned all around the lake, it’s making a comeback but there’s still a lot of burn scare. The lake is in the center, fire area in red.
