jpnjake Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 It has been a long time since I posted on this thread, some pretty major upgrades to the MJ have been added, such as the Leather steering wheel I picked up in Kenosha, along with a 21 slot grill I also picked up at the Kenosha swap meet, also new are some 31 mud terrains thar really help even with 2wd.

jpnjake Posted September 14, 2022 Author Posted September 14, 2022 Finally pulled the MJ’s together, The Chief, My black one, and my Dads trail MJ
jpnjake Posted October 3, 2022 Author Posted October 3, 2022 Just remembered I never posted the hidden train horn install, I did my Ho cooling system swap at the same time, and used the bracket for the bottle to mount my compressor and air tank The actual horn is mounted in the front crossmember, and I wired it into the interior. It runs off of a 3 position XJ rear washer switch, the top position locks in and charges the tank, and the momentary switch opens the valve and lets the horn go. IMG_4690.MOV
charmcityrambler Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 that side mount toolbox looks good there - do you have to drill holes in the truck to mount it?

I did not, it mounts to the lip with little threaded hooks that hold onto the bed rail, and I have a peice of angle iron that rests on the bed, and if your running it without a bedliner you need a 4th support by the wheel well. I’ll post some pictures of it later

It doesn’t take up a ton of room, I can fit almost any garden tractor in the bed still, even my one with 33 boggers on it. It really doesn’t take up any of the usable space
jpnjake Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 Finally bit the bullet and painted the roof after all this time, I don’t even think I can look at how it was before in comparison Before: Da’d down: Primed: First Base: Final product:
jpnjake Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 Also today added some misc things like chrome tow hooks, painted windshield trim and drip rails, but most importantly installed some NOS mopar rainguards
jpnjake Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 Today I picked up a really nice set of XJ limited seats, and have officially changed the name from Grandpa Jeep to Comanche limited as I feel it suits it’s new 21slot and seats well
eaglescout526 Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 If you want to make your MJ really stand out, find the small Jeep letters found on the waggys and put it off set on the drivers side of your header panel like the 84-85 headers.
jpnjake Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 Got the seats in last night there just wasn’t enough light for any of the pictures so I took them this morning

NHMJXJ Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Hey, wow those seat were meant to be in there! Looks great!

jpnjake Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 A couple weeks ago I went and met @frankspeed420 and purchased an MJ Visor from him, His craftsmanship is phenomenal on them and If you’ve been considering getting one I’d definitely recommend it, it is very solid and at a very fair price.
89 MJ Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Wow! This picture is stunning. The chrome, the visor, the lift, and the wheel and tire setup is perfect.
