Project: “Comanche Limited”

Not much new since the last post, Just one last weekend up at proving grounds for the end of the year event. 
 

She tows so good now, just got new emergency brake cables installed and with the rear brakes adjusted correctly it stops so much better. 

I'm guessing towing up we were around 3500-4000 lbs towing and about 800 in the bed 

The MJ even got a little mud action this time around when we had to get through some puddles to get to my buddy’s camp for a fire 

Even just being 2wd She never felt close to being stuck 

But finally to the real action of the weekend with the mud mowers 

And yes In this first picture I’m fully standing and the mower is floating 

And then I blew up the engine on the 33” bogger mower by going through a little too deep of water (miraculously only blew head gaskets) But not before going through a little Mud with her 

And then there was my buddy’s with their equipment 

And I even got to ride my buddy’s 1000cc 4 wheeler and that thing was absolutely insane, apparently it makes 91 Hp, and you can just bake the tires through any level of mud or anything in 4wd or 2wd, and even with stock tires it felt unstoppable, I was only going slow enough for a couple pictures to be taken, and then I was gone 

I was soaked head to toe after this 

 

All in it was a great weekend with my buddies, it’s just camping with a whole other level of fun thrown in, I may bring my XJ to the next event instead of the MJ as it’s the snow Boggs, but we will see.

Not many updates lately, she’s finally been parked for a winter, here's my latest score, I put my bucket seats in about a year ago, and I went without a center console for a little while, but on long road trips I found myself needing the armrest, so I went and got the 84-96 xj console for it with the cup holder

And it stayed like this for about 6 months, until I found an SJ folding center armrest on marketplace, and I hoped it would fit 

 

Turns out It’s a perfect fit In The middle of an MJ

It matches perfectly, and the leather is so soft, Plus it brings back my favorite part of the 2wd automatic, the blank trans tunnel. And allows me to Finally fit a 3rd person again. All around a very good win, Plus the armrest is way more comfortable than the console lid. 
 

Next up, Converting to power windows and installing the limited door panels to finish the interior.

It’s so perfect in there I can’t believe it wasn’t a factory option lol, it’s so so comfy!

They probably had no idea that it would fit at all. But hell I love it! Making me jealous of how luxurious your MJ is gonna be.

Dang it, Jake! You've got me wanting to build a 6 passenger 2 door XJ now and I've got too many projects as it is...
