Looking great! Glad you were able to snag a set of pre 90 knuckles. I've got a big brake kit awaiting install as well once I get to that point. Have you had a chance to test out those Wilwoods yet? Also, what wheels are you running?

Haven't had a chance yet. I still got the motor torn down for heads and a cam so it'll be a bit before I can drive it.

Wheels are 17s. 235 55 front and 275 55 rear Generals.

Whats the part number for the caltracs

Custom build. I called them up and they have an order sheet which you fill out. I think it was $450 ish. Whatever they charge for an off the shelf one.

The guy told me it was very similar to a blazer with some minor tweaks.

Been a while since I've posted. Just kinda fell out of updating. Last I left off I was installing the new caltracs and wilwood brakes. Truck has 0 wheel hop and stops ridiculously well now.  Also installed a BTR cam, got the heads redone, and tidied up the entire bay some more. This truck rips now and sounds absolutely amazing.  I spent the whole summer learning to tune myself and even though it took A LOT of learning, Ive got it pretty good. Really put some miles on it this summer. All Breeds jeep show, friends wedding way in upstate NY, and Roadkill nights in Pontiac Michigan.  jeep did really really well. Only issue I had was the trans speedo line started leaking on me. That was it, so absolutely no complaints.

This year I don't have any huge plans. A company came out with an actual mid shift conversion for the TKX so just gotta get the courage to open up the trans and modify it for that. Little apprehensive about doing that because it permanently modifies the trans but it's out of warranty now so oh well. It'll put the shifter literally in the factory location and no weird offset bar like I'm running now.  We'll see what else I can find to do, and if I outgrow the N/A power....

what pics did you use?  way back when I did pins I had a heck of a time finding pins that were long enough (and even then, mine are barely long enough)

They are a kit for a newer mustang. I think 2010 and up I want to say. I got them on clearance and figured I could make them work. They actually were too long and I had to mount them way lower than I had planned.

God I love this truck bro. Do you have any videos of it idling with the cam? I’m looking at the BTR stage 2 cam, gonna have to do a stall though so I’m not in a rush.

I actually don't have a good video of it which is strange.  Ill take one of a cold start and idling once it comes out for the season. I got a BTR truck norris, very lopey and does not loose any torque in the curve at all from factory.

So part of why I bought the tremec TKX was the shifter location option being in the dead same spot of the factory shifter. I had bought it when it was brand new and turned out tremec hadn't even developed the mid-shift kit for it. American power train came up with the shifter I've had and it worked great, but I wasn't crazy about it.

Found out silver sport transmission came out with a real mid shift and ordered it up. Just installed it and so far I'm pumped. Little crazy opening up and modifying my 3k transmission but it ended up perfect.

God I love this truck. Do you have any complaints about the caltracs? I have an ls truck on stock suspension and it doesn’t wheel hop but I have to think those would help me get it off the line better.

None whatsoever. I called the company and they had to custom make them but they didn't charge anymore than what the off the shelf units were. Honestly I think it was just a custom bushing for the leafs. But they keep the back end planted perfectly so highly recommend.

Well I'm in the middle of probably one of the worst jobs I've done with this truck. Windshield was leaking and when I went to have another put in the installer found this:

Not horrible but more than what I wanted to deal with. He also said there was alot of the original butyl left over so the previous windshield I got about 3 years ago was installed badly. Now it makes sense why the place was out of business...

Anyway, dude was super cool and said when I get it fixed just call back for the install. I've been grinding, scraping, and wire wheeling this whole week to get this.

Still a little more prep to be done, then I'm going to treat the rust with acid and use an epoxy primer. I never want to do this again.
