Watch out world, big update here!

When I swapped the dash, I didn’t change the glove box door lock. I was going through my extra parts and I decided I should finally do that. Yup, that’s the update.

The weather has been terrible this spring, so I have only put about 150 miles on it.

I put gas in it again Tuesday night, gave it a wash and put it away Wednesday night.

Also the heater core went out. I’ve got a new one in the box, but not enough time before school to get it in.

All said and done, I didn’t even put 400 miles on this thing all summer because the weather was just not great. Makes me feel bad for the farmers too. Most of the crops are behind and it’s already cooling off. Oh well.

In some happier news, I might be teaching a family friend how to drive a manual early next week using the MJ.

Mmmm, the smell of a burning clutch. :driving:

I’ll probably start him on the tractor, then have him try the truck in 4 low. But you’re probably right.

I also forgot to mention, 8,000 miles since July 2021.

I taught several people how to drive in my YJ. One of them was the girl who became my wife. Before her, I had no idea that my YJ could burn rubber in second gear. Hahaha

She didn't burn the clutch though.

Starting on the tractor is a bad idea, in my opinion. They don't shift anything like regular vehicles. Start out in 4 low in the MJ and go from there.

I taught my current gf how to drive a manual in my MJ. That was fun. I haven’t decided for sure yet, but you do bring up a good point.

They will be a great addition to the truck for sure. They need some cleaning and one small repair to the vinyl, but otherwise appear darn near perfect.

Got all of the parts cleaned up. Probably will need to do some dye work on the center console, but that’s okay because I’m pretty sure I have some left over from doing the dash.

The seats, steering wheel, and column turned out very well. Little bit of vinyl repair to do on the driver’s seat, nothing major though. Until I get them in the MJ, they will make for excellent apartment furniture.

 That’s perfectly fair. They sure do make for nice furniture though.

Gotcha. For some reason I thought you had the same ones.
