Sure have a good spot to work on those amc gems though. Makes it worth while to be driving them alot. Build them, drive them, break them, fix them, repeat. :grinyes:

Exactly. And the Comanche has been getting very reliable.

You didn’t think the truck was done, did you?

We still have a long way to go before it will be ready for the All Breeds Jeep Show.

Today, we prepped my new dash for dying tomorrow.

I still will have to dye that, paint the sportbar and front skid, and buff the paint.

AC is all charged up. That’s all we’ve made for progress though, unfortunately, other than getting the days dyed. I will post a write up about that at some point.

I can’t believe I am saying this about a 32 year old base model truck (bench, no slider originally, rubber flooring, no skid plates or sportbar originally, idiot light cluster), but this truck spoils me. I forgot how fantastic the KSuspension headlight relay harness is in combination with Hella E Code housings and H4 bulbs. That might be my favorite modification yet.

I need to do this. Picked up a dash from AMC for $25. Except it does have some issues. But I couldn’t bring myself to buy a garnet or honey dash to paint it charcoal.

It’s fairly easy to do. It took me about 1.5 hours to get it out.

Its amazing the difference a dash will make in the look of the interior.

Agreed!

New dash pictures. The interior is complete at least until after the Jeep show. I still have things that I want to do to it at some point (new mini console, radio from Minuit, new seat cover, and recover the headliner), but it’s going to have to be good enough for now.

We also waxed the paint today.

Now needs a carpet dash cover to finish it out. :shhh:

To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of those. They just seem like dust and dirt traps.
