For our own incomes, we will need people to maintain roads/trails/racetracks for the MJs, plus construction workers for building houses and shops. We will also need people to deliver our MJ parts to us. I think @Pete M should be our leader. He seems to know what he is doing. LOL. sounds like a great idea. i also nominate @Pete M.

89 MJ Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 I am doing some research into trying to make a reproduction roll bar that way I can get one for this thing!
89 MJ Posted November 14, 2020 Author Posted November 14, 2020 Took a family picture (1 J10 is not pictured)
89 MJ Posted November 29, 2020 Author Posted November 29, 2020 She’s coming apart! I hope to get the engine/trans/transfer case out tomorrow afternoon, but time will tell.
89 MJ Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 Engine is out, engine bay pressure washed, valve cover and intake have been sandblasted and painted, and some unnecessary vaccine lines have been eliminated (from 4wd system, I installed a posi lock type system). Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to paint the engine bay. It will likely be going black-the body color blue and the AMC blue on the engine would clash. True story, pressure washing in about 38 degrees (in bald eagles) is NOT FUN. It was pretty cold. I was glad I had my coveralls. Its me! Started mounting accessories Blasted intake and valve cover All cleaned! Paint is applied.
89 MJ Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 Hopefully I will be able to get the engine bay prepped out for paint this evening. Maybe I'll be able to shoot some color on it too.
89 MJ Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 I started scuffing the engine bay last night. Hopefully I have time to finish scuffing it tonight. If not, I'll scuff and paint it tomorrow.

LOL The plan is gloss black for the engine bay to make the engine pop more. Plus, I think the blues would clash if I did it body color.
scguy Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 I prefer satin black in the engine bay, but either way, it'll look great.
Torq_Shep Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 I dunno I am a body color bay kinda guy but maybe I am weird.

Normally I agree with the body color engine compartment, but I think the blues would clash and not look good together. I thought about doing satin black too, but I want the blue metallic to pop in the engine compartment.
89 MJ Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 Engine bay is painted. I forgot to take pictures though. So, pictures will be coming this afternoon/evening.
JMO413 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 The black was definitely the right choice. Looks great. The contrast in blues definitely makes the engine pop.

89 MJ Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 It looks like I'm going to need to order a clutch master cylinder, but other than that, all of my parts that I need should be here today. Most of the wiring is complete, I just need to reinstall the header panel, radiator, fans, and other misc things.
