HOrnbrod
Well, two lopsided games today for the NFC and AFC championships. Atlanta destroyed Green Bay 44-21 in the NFC and New England beat up Pittsburg 36-17 in the AFC. Without a miraculous comeback, both games were basically over at halftime. Now that the participants are in place for the Super Bowl, who do you love? The Pats seem like they are in it at least every other year or so, and I can't remember the last time the Falcons made it to The Bowl. I like both teams, but this year I'm going with the Falcons, who I'm sure will be the betting underdogs. Matt Ryan was the best QB in football this year, should receive the NFL MVP, has the best receivers (Julio comes to mind), and has had a career year. Their defense, especially the secondary, is equal or better IMO than New England, and I think they can keep Brady's passing game under control just enough to score enough points and pull out a win.But I've been wrong before. The Tide will Roll again next year.............

fiatslug87
I'm going with the Pats. I haven't watched any football this season, but I just made a bet with my brother for 10 times the final total score, so who knows how much he'll owe me. ;) ... and it was the Raiders' year. I said going in that they would have score at least 40 to win.

Pete M
years ago the Lions destroyed that part of my soul that cared about pro football teams, but I still love football so I'll watch the game. :D and since it's hard to cheer for a team that's just always good and always has a chance to win...blah, blah, blah...boring! Go Falcons!
HOrnbrod
The Falcons have only been in one Super Bowl before in 1998. They got blown out by the Broncos 34–19. I'd like to see them pull out a win this time.

ParadiseMJ
The Falcons, They're hungry for it and it showed watching them rip Green Bay. For the Patriots it's considered a slam dunk...but only in Foxborogh IMHO

HOrnbrod
I had to watch a delayed recording as I missed the start, and it just ended for me. Holy crap! What a total collapse by the Falcons in the second half. Their defense was totally gassed. For all the people who said they couldn't beat Brady, totally true. By far the best Super Bowl game ever. It was two games; first half all Atlanta, second half all Pats. Congrats Mike.
89eliminator
well i lost $200 thru a work playoff bracket with Atlanta losing. besides that, what a game. Atlanta just needed a field goal at the end to ice it but totally screwed themselves. what i found funny was if White didnt actually score at the end. they were pretty quick with the "celebrate" button. would have been a mess if he was short of the goal line... 87MJTIM
Well, I was doing a Macaulay Culkin impression last night - "Home Alone." I was watching in the first half while the Birds were running away with it. (Brady's first TD pass was a pick-6.) At half time I hit the mute button and never turn back on the sound. (Don't care for Lady Gaga. Don't care for Aikman, either.) I had pretty much given up on a Pat's comeback. I was still watching (in silence) as the Pats mounted the biggest comeback. WOW! Like I said in my earlier post, don't bet against the Pats.
Minuit
That was something alright. I was about to turn the game off as the Pats came back. What a comeback! The only reason I have a dog in this fight is that one of the Pats' offensive line came from my high school, but I'd hate to be a Falcons fan right now.
