It was very dry last year so I was afraid to do the gasoline/torch method, but this year has been on the wetter side so I may change my decision on that... conker Posted August 1, 2014 Share Posted August 1, 2014 For future reference, my grandad swears by using hot water, he leaves his hose out in the sun with it full of water for a day and then hoses the nest down with the water. I also waited until almost dark to apply the dust with no issues. I forgot this, i doused the hole with a can of hornet spray prior to dusting.
