xjtrailrider
First off, this is not an advertisment. I do not work for the company that I BOUGHT my headliner from. But I think that a company that has great customer service and has quality product not only needs a pat on the back but people should know about them. I bought my Headliner from Steve at Custom Headliners; customheadliners@windstream.net As manyy of you know my truck was rolled by my son last winter so I needed another headliner. Steve asked what had happened to mine and after reading my reply he offered up another headliner that he had improved the fit since the one that I had originally purchased. Now that is customer service! So if your riding around with nothing but a tin roof over your head and tired of the noise here is a solutution for you. I took some pics of the new headliner installed in my doner top since my MJ is being repaired right now and the top is still smashed. Note, I use XJ sun visors and I mount a CB in the middle where the original center visor pivot would normally be. The panels are not screwed into place, just sitting there. There is velcro on the upper side of the headliner for the stock velcro fasteners from the factory. Here is where it meets the rear glass, PERFECT! My glass is removed right now obviosly. Just thought I would share with those that need a good MJ headliner.

Wow! I have not had that problem at all. The new headliner fits very good. My first one did not. At least not without some trimming. It looked good, not "great"

Automan2164
I bought the reupholstering kit from him. Very nice, ended up sending me another roll of fabric for the visors at no cost after finding out the shade was a bit off on the red interior. Turned out way better than I thought it would. I was going to do a write up, but never got around to it. The kit from him on eBay was $27.99... Great price, and good material. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-1992-Jeep-Comanche-MJ-Headliner-Kit-w-extra-material-for-Sunvisors-/170890638685?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27c9e0355d&vxp=mtr Rob
xjtrailrider
My truck didn't even have the board left in it! I haven't seen one locally for sale that still has the headliner board left in it. You got lucky.

Butchershop
They're not included in the listings above but, Yes, I believe he makes the boards, too. According to his website, http://www.smsheadliners.com/, he makes them for Comanches. You should probably contact him directly. His email is: customheadliners@windstream.net
terrawombat
I just spoke with Steve. He's a little behind on orders and he won't be able to start making any new orders until after Thanksgiving, but his price is $135 shipped for brand new backing board/material. If you're like me, you have multiple Comanche's with no headliners...he said he would do $225 shipped for two.

kateochip_
I just ordered mine! He's still active and very quick to respond. He mentioned having a large workload from Comanche orders recently, so I guess a lot of us are using quarantine time to work on these projects. I am moving across the country soon so I asked him to expedite for the extra $75. Thanks for the recommendations!
