DansGreyMj
Post up how they fit. My front end is already plated and I'm very interested in doing the rest.
89eliminator
I will. I won't be a good gauge though because I'm gonna have to modify them to fit my needs. They are on sale so it was cheap enough to be a good starting point.

89eliminator
Got the fronts done. All in all they fit well. I prepped the frame and stiffeners with Eastwood weld thru primer. I tried a cheap off the shelf weld thru primer first. don't DO THIS. Created such a dirty weld. Ended up starting over basically because of it. Anyways here are some pics. I used a handheld torch to heat up the old under coating. Made it super easy to just scrape off. Invest in lots of c clamps. There are way more bends in the unibody then I anticipated. 89eliminator
Still plugging away. Got the mid stiffeners on. They fit like total crap so I had to cut them all up and not even use a portion of them (mainly due to my long arm setup). In other news, I picked this truck up. '12 ecoboost. MiNi Beast
very nice. better reliability. what was the deal with the stiffeners? which kit is that anyways?
89eliminator
it seemed like they never even fit a set onto an MJ. the cutouts were all wrong, the bolt holes for the trans crossmember didnt line. just general fitment was garbage. the kits is from T&M Fabrication. i sent them emails so that they could hopefully fix the issues. neohic
I was half expecting you to say something along the lines of "keeping them for a mild build". :laughin:
89eliminator
I was half expecting you to say something along the lines of "keeping them for a mild build". :laughin: I'd love to build one for the wife and eventually will it's just not in the cards right now. Plus my axles belong in a wheeler and I wouldn't build another wheeler.
89eliminator
Dana 30 getting delivered to its new home tomorrow. I got what I wanted money wise and the buyer got a hell of an axle for cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
89eliminator
Got both axles sold. Went and got my new ones yesterday. Got the 44 on stands so that I can start working on it. Doesn't need much to get it to bolt in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
89eliminator
Got the axles installed. Way better now with lower gearing. Need hydro assist though.
89eliminator
Haven't updated in a while. Had a son last month so eventually I'll need to convert the MJ to a 3 or 4 seater. Otherwise been wheelin it mainly. Swapped in a dual diaphram booster and Durango master. Can lock all 4 up with ease now. Crazy how much of a difference it made. Got a hydro assist kit coming from psc so steering will be nicer.
