Darren Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I had acquired a few sets of hood vents and would like everyone's opinion on which ones you like. LeBarron (Middle) Z28 (front) Saab (Outside) - Came with Drip pans I kinda like the Z28 vents. What do you think? Lets hear it. Thanks guys.
Automan2164 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I kinda like the LeBaron vents, But I think if you turned the Z vents around(so the non-angled side is in the middle, small end front) Those would look cool too. Rob L.
Pete M Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 All of them. You'd have the "coolest" engine bay in all of MJ land. :D Or the saab ones. I like the saab ones. I think I'll add those to my jy shopping list.
Darren Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 OK, just to clear this up, I will not be using anymore than one set on the truck.

HOrnbrod Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I too like the Saab vents. Do you remember what model these vents came from? I've had several Saabs in the past and none had hood vents. Must have been an older turbo model?
aemsee Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I too favor the Saab vents. Maybe even in line with the hood stripes. The Le Baron vents look like furnace duct vents.
shelbyluvv Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Saab vents look good with the stripes. I voted for them. Put me in line for the LeBaron vents if you sell them.
JeepcoMJ Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 all of them. then you can continue to think you're cool
Darren Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 all of them. then you can continue to think you're cool Hey, nice job kid, you made a joke. It was at my expense and I laughed, it was funny.
wolfpackjeeper Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I like the z28/trans am vents: but I am kinda partial...
wolfpackjeeper Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 mine sat much better after running the engine in the sun got the warm enough to conform to the hood better. Those pictures only have 1 of the speed nuts holding it on.

Must have been an older turbo model? They are actually cabin vents located on the rear quarter, the actually model I don't know. I saw them at the JY and thought they might be cool.
maddzz1 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I know you said only one, but I think the saab vents along with the Z28 vents would look good.

Ah, okay, those are from a 900 series model. They would look good in the hood if they can mount flat. The drip pans are very useful also for directing incoming water away from where you don't want it. I used the 98 ZJ vents w. drip pans.
OSHAGNASTY Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 my jeep has ss on the side so iwould say camaro ones.
