MJ is dead
Changed the oil for the first time. And seafoamed it while I was at it. Easiest oil change I've ever done. Too bad my filter wrench was too big, but hey, that's what vice grips are for sir!
2360
Today I took parts off a 88 Comanche at pick n pull for my 88 Comanche. Grabbed the maroon floor rug, which was in pretty good shape. Amazingly, there wasn't much rust under it. Took the carpet home and cleaned it, turned out pretty good. I wanted the bumper, but I didn't have deep socket. Grabbed a under hood insulation off a Cherokee and slapped it in my Comanche. And grabbed a bunch of smaller odds and ends. 2360

2360
I grabbed some spare tail lights a half a year ago. It's a rare event here when a Comanche arrives at pick n pull. I usually daily check pick n pull online to see if one shows. This Comanche had about 160,000 k's on the speed o. I sure could use that motor, mine just turned 500,000. Not sure if I've got the know how to swap engines. 2360
MjPioneer
Today was eventful for my little girl. Took her wheelin, popped her into 4lo for some "technical" rock climbing, after I reached the top I could shift out of 4lo. Had to crawl under her, found the linkage popped off Easy fix. Then later on after climbing another "little" rock the gas went straight to the floor, thus my throttle cable let go, had to crawl under the hood to pop her back on the throttle body. Aside from that it was a great day of wheelin. I'm amazed at how cool my 4.0 is runing at this point 302,xxx miles and it still runs at about 180 with only an electric fan, It did reach up to 215 at one point on the trail but hey what can you expect? AMCJeepMJ
Replaced the driver's side seatbelt with an XJ belt and mechanism. Had to do some sawzalling of the bulkhead to get it to fit. On an unrelated note, almost broadsided some dumbass highschool kid in a POS 80s Subaru tonight who rolled thru a stop to do a left turn in front of me. I am glad my waterbed LeSabre has ABS and is in good repair, as there was only about 2 feet between the cars by the time I stopped. Deer in headlights, the kids was. I'm sure he had to change his drawers after his lapse of judgement.

Pete M
Just a quick reminder for everyone to make sure you are also updating your project thread too. My update: nothing. absolutely nothing. And on purpose this time. :D I'm never readjusting the parking spots of the trucks again. If the city is truly serious that I'm doing something wrong by parking my plated/insured trucks on private property with the property owner's permission, then bring it on. :fs1: only a court decision will make me cave. akamcbird
mounted my steel of a lumber rack, after i got it cleaned up and refinished. added 1.5" spacers to my front end to level her out, then a quicky home alignment. trimmed the rear fenders, fold under style, been puting it off cause theres no going back but I'm glad its done. broke down a set of explorer leaf packs. cut the eyes off the main to fix the axle wrap in the '90, the rest will go into the '87 for load. man is my back stiff

CWLONGSHOT
I lifted my seats an inch and a half...and found RUST ON MY FLOORS!!! Most cleaned up with a wire wheel, but one spot on the DS is rusted thru and needs new steel welded in!! The pass side cleaned up nicely. but only had surface rust. A bit longer with the wire wheel and then a good rub down with acetone and it will be ready for rust paint. The Drivers side will take a bit more... :shake: :shake: The cure... dasbulliwagen
Boss's Mj... the AC hasnt work in years, so I converted it to R134a, it cooled for a while, but got to the point the compressor wouldnt kick on, wasnt getting power. So I figured out which relay was for the compressor to make sure it was getting power... was, and replaced the relay... works great now.... but while driving and accelerating, it looses vacuum, and the vent settings change... so I will next install a check valve, and make sure the vac canister is OK.
