JeepcoMJ
compressed C02/compressed air. i know, but what would you use co2 on a truck for? mild air tools, airing up tires. C02 has a higher compression rate/ability than air, thus that small tank, if it's for C02 (which it loooks like it is) is the equivelent of 3 or 4 tanks of compressed air. for trail riding...air up tires, mild trail repairs using air tools. CWLONGSHOT
Yup, but its not compressed air, its carbon dioxide in liquid form. It turns to a gas and gets very cold. (Do any of you guys paint ball??) Far more efficient then a compressed air tank. I have one on each of my Jeeps, a 10# in the TJ and a 20# on the MJ as its got more room. That tank will completely air up a 35" tire at more then 20 times. The 10# is plenty for my own vehicle for a weekend of wheeling. (Not airing up all my buddies.) its 50$ to refill both the 10 & 20# tanks. I run air tools and refill my tires after wheeling. I air down to about 10Lbs for a better footprint and traction in the rocks. Remember TREAD LITELY? Here is a Build up simular to mine: http://www.stu-offroad.com/recovery/co2/co2-1.htm Here is a store bought setup: http://www.powertank.com/ CW
mvusse
For comparison, 10 pounds of CO2, which is a common size tank for off road use, is about equal to a 60 gallon air tank (like on a large compressor) at 150psi.

mvusse
Got a new driver side door. Looked all over the Canton pull-a-part, and decided to stay with a 96 or older door to minimize problems. First door I tried I couldn't get off because one of the torx bolts stripped. Second door I tried worked, but had some problems. No surface rust like my old door, nor any dents, but the bottom is rotted. Still looks better than my old one, though. It also didn't have a mirror. No big deal, as I can use my old one, but still, why not put a mirror on? The new door also has power locks (won't be using) and power windows (will be using). Didn't want a whole bunch of switches for one single window, so I switched out the door handle/lock/window control for the one from the back door. Also doesn't have a vent window that can open, but that will come off my old door. The door speaker has a ripped cone, so I took the one out of the passenger door. $43.02 out the door. So I now have a 1992 door with a back door handle, 1995 mirror, passenger door speaker, and soon to have a 1987 vent window. Got the door on and aligned. Opens and closes nicely, but the lock is giving me trouble. Turns out a Renix era lock does not fit a Chrysler era door. Will need to modify some with a dremel to make my old lock fit the new door. A most proper Jeep repair, complete with steaks and bakes on the grill, and plenty of beers  Jeff edit: couple pics....http://www.mpjai.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=8644
CRF136N
Drove it 128 miles to a desert off-road motorcycle race. Showed up late (right at race start, but still pulled it off) :clapping: Transmission in dirt bike grenaded during race. :( Returned to truck, loaded bike and discovered something leaking under comanche... :???: popped hood on MJ to discover brake fluid reservoir somehow leaked out through lid, ruined paint in rescently painted engine bay :fs1: Got brake fluid and topped off reservoir, will figure out problem and get mad about paint later :headpop: Started truck and turned steering wheel...PS pump moaned BAD :huh???: Popped hood again; PS reservoir dry  found leaking low pressure hose :redX: Couldn't find any PS fluid Had an 18 mile dirt road and 45 mile 75mph highway to drive to nearest parts store :wall: Accepted the risk of ruining my PS pump, just wanted to get home...4 miles away from parts store, RAN OUT OF GAS  Fellow racer stopped and gave me fuel  After a quick fill up at nearest gas station, made it to auto parts store  Tried to pull bad hose off, kinda stuck at the reservoir...then PS fluid reservoir SPLIT APART!!! :fs1: :wall: :wall: Drove remaining 65 miles with no power steering, over a mountain pass...fun :grrrr: Bad day. Now I got a broken Comanche with a broken dirtbike in the back...all in the attempts for a day of fun. :fs1: Thats my comanche story for the day. My 3 day ongoing comanche saga has been waging war on a damn mouse thats found its new home in my truck...little bastard is wreaking havoc in my interrior, chewing things, etc. My Grizzly Grip bed liner should be here soon, got extra to sound deaden interrior, so I am tearing interior apart to prep...I'll find him sooner or later! :fs1: OK, I'm done now. -James

Picked up '98 ZJ V8 steering tire rods and linkages from JY, beefy :brows:  at the sweet black leather seats in the ZJ, but I need my bench seat. Can we use the steering stabilizer from the ZJ? Noticed its a little different setup it bolts to the tie rod arm.
