  2. I probably have 3000 more 4x4 pictures in my computer. One day I might put more on line. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  3. Do you think some JB Weld would work? I have borrowed a welder to learn to weld so I def don't trust myself to go that route yet. I would probally end up melting the distributor. It's basicly like doing a few tack welds when it's a small screw. It's simple to do, just try it a few times. Do the header screws first. Do the dist screws stick out the bottom. You could alway screw them out the bottom. There isn't a ton of heat made from a few good tacks.

  6. That por-patch stuff. Seems to be working pretty good, I've had the header panel assembled a couple times now. TNT, do you weld through the center of the nut? The fiberglass doesn't deform from the heat does it? Either way, I'm gonna have to remember this trick. Might save time compared to the drill around and refill method. Exactly. It worked great and didn't hurt the fiberglass at all. I did have to try a couple or times on a few screws because I missed hitting the screw first before the nut, the nut just came off. There isn't much room in a #10 nut with .030 mig wire, your aim must be perfect. It took about 10 minutes to do 6 broken screws
  7. I take a nut thats about the right size and put it over the broken screw and weld it on. I had to remove 6 broken fiberglass header screws like this and have done a bunch of other screws and bolts this way.

  9. Mine winds up with 9" of lift SOA. I'm redoing the mounts and using a shackle a desert truck would to lower it some too. I also am picking up some Rubicon Express 4" leaf springs for the front and will be sinking the mounts as much as I can to keep it low. 7" of lift or less would be great. At least I'll be full width.
  10. so I can fit a big block Mopar... Hmmm.... Maybe I won't need the 340....
  11. 4.0 HO engines use an aluminum valve cover. I have a spare one if you need it.

    Did I get a deal?

They used a Torqueflight A999 wide ratio non-lockup 3 speed. I have one out in the garage. How about I give you $1000.00 for the CJ and take it off your hands. :brows: I'll even come and pick it up. :D
  15. Here are some of the pictures of a JeepSpeed 3700 class J series truck. I added about 73 pictures to my JeepSpeed album. There are 433 JeepSpeed pictures it total. Here is a link. 17. try this... I want a street MJ too. This would be how I would build a street MJ... :D ZJ upcountry coils with 1-2 coils removed The largest swaybar that an ZJ uses Add a rear swaybar Custom stiff rear springs built for proper ride hieght mounts relocated as needed. Bilstein 7100 shocks 8000rpm Mopar 340 built, camed, with aluminum heads for about 450hp :chillin: A 150 shot of nitrous for kicks Built TF999 3000rpm stall converter and a reverse manual valvebody NP242HD Dodge transfercase In cab adjustable proportioning valve WJ front knuckles and brakes ZJ rear discs 97+ nose fenders and doors Cowl hood Plum Crazy paint The tire / axle combo would be non-disconnect D30 with a true track geared, 4.10 frt gears with 275/35ZR19 tires and Rear D44 with a detroit locker, 4.88 rear gears with 305/40ZR22 tires. This would have a top speed of 154mph at 8000rpm and spin 3500rpm at 65mph. That would be a 26.5"x10.9" front tires and a 31.5"x12.4" rear tires. A 340 will happily spin 3500 rpm all day long. Find me a rust free MJ and I'll build it. :brows:
  18. these look kind of interesting. http://www.suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=330 6054 (6" x 8" Clear Lens Multi Reflector or Hybrid Projecotr)- Each $15.00 The 6" x 8" rectangular will replace sealed beam size 6052, H6052, H6054 or HP6054. Sealed beam headlight replacements using replaceable H4 halogen bulbs (also available HID headlights). *All sealed beam sizes (4656, 5006, 6024, & 6054) include Super White H4/9003 halogen bulb (90/100 watt) and city (parking) light. New updated optic design on these sealed beams are result in better beam pattern Available in new free form/multi reflector types and projector. Using a sealed beam replacement allows use of different color and wattage H4 (aka 9003/HB2) bulbs, plus the ease and cost savings in replacing just the bulb. *note: other H4/9003 bulbs available separately I wonder if that is a glass lens? For $15.00 with a 80/90 watt bulb super white bulb they better have a good pattern so oncoming traffic isn't blinded. What do you think of these bulbs? http://www.suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=159 Xenon Plazma- (Super White)- 80/100W- Replacement bulb pair pack. I have seen these before and ther are very white. I wonder how long they last.
  19. Be sure to add this to your post if this gets cleaned up and made sticky.
  20. Gearing comes close. :D Not if the 4.7 has the same gear... :brows: For 31" tire 4.10 would be my gear choice no matter what trans it has.
  21. I'm not a fan of the XP6054 myself. They stick out like torpedos, a bit ridiculous looking. If you can still pick up the X6054, I'd be all over that. OSRAM Sylvania XENARC HID's X6054 are available here http://www.brightheadlights-hid.com/HID-Headlights-x6054.htm or http://www.suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=270 I also see the Sylvania Silverstar H6054ST sealed beams now have 60 watts of low beam power and 70 watts of high beam power and are still DOT approved.
  22. Here's a safety video for your write up. It's very informative, a must see. The Correct use of a Snatch Strap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JBnxSqpuCM

    Great Wheeling Video

Thats not me, that is Ashman in his Cherokee on 42's. At about 6 minutes in he broke a HP D60 35 spline chromoly stub shaft. He wheeled from that point on in 3wd. :brows: If you watch close you can see him using his cutting brakes and doubler. That is an impressive rig and driver.
