Tera 4" TJ coils give 4.5" of lift on an XJ and have a 200 lb/in rate , 20.25" tall unloaded Tera 3" TJ coils give 3.5" of lift on an XJ and have a 170 lb/in rate Rusty's 4.5" coils give 5" of lift and have a 150 lb/in rate, 22" tall unloaded RE's 4.5" ZJ coils give 6"-6.25" of lift on an XJ and have a 200 lb/in rate, 22" tall unloaded (RE ZJ coils are 240 lb/in) Rustys 3" coils give 3" and have 150 lb/in rate. OME 930 coils: 160 lb. spring rate. 1.75" of lift on XJ OME 934 coils: 180 lb. spring rate.The 934 spring is 35 mm (1.37") longer than the 930 spring. The 930 is listed as a XJ or ZJ I-6 spring and the 934 is listed as a ZJ V-8 spring but is also used on the XJ. the 934 should give about 2.5in lift. Rusty's 6.5" 22" long, 12 wraps of 5/16" stock Rusty's 4.5" coils give 5" of lift and have a 150 lb/in rate, 22" tall unloaded Rustys 3" coils give 3" and have 150 lb/in rate. Rancho 3" coils, at least the old coils give about 2 1/4" of lift on an XJ and have a very high 235 lb/in rate. Rockkrawler 6.5" are 165 lbs/in SJ Sky Jacker 3" ZJ coils 218 lbs/in SJ 6in XJ RR coil is 13 coils and same height and thickness as the RE ZJ4.5in XJ5.5in coil. Hope that helps.

Thats nice, but I prefer the hoop to bend out and follow the cabs profile above the box. Some triangulation would be great also.

I have seen a 2.8 with 4.56, 4.10 3.73 and 3.55 gears stock... They are just anyones guess just like you stated.

Get an 8.8" axle with 4:10's and discs from an Explorer. It will be slightly narrower and have C-clips. Then buy the C-clip eliminater kit and it will also make the axle the correct width. Weld the tubes to the housing and you'll have an axle that is stronger then a D44, has better brakes and a stronger housing. Add a truss and it will be able to handle some airtime also.

That MJ is cleaner then 95% of the ones around here... I hate salt... :mad:

Figured I would post here since I don't think I ever did... I've been on NAXJA, Pirate, and many others for a long time. I'm TJP on Pirate, TNTsXJ on the JeepForumand TNT on most of the other boards. I was a Chrysler Master Tech for 15 years and now I'm a parts guy at an International truck dealer. I just purchased JeepcoMJ's '89 MJ Pioneer, 4.0. Pukegoat 5 speed, 3.07 gears, rear D44 and 6"-10" of lift. I bought it without his 33" tires and the stereo. I have a '94 and a '95 XJ that will be doners for this project. They both are 4.0 HO's with auto trannys and the '94 will supply the 242 transfer case. The '95 will supply the engine and transmission.

You don't hit the TRE with a hammer... Hit the end of the knuckle where the TRE taper goes threw. It will pop out after a few blows. It helps if someone is prying down slightly on the TRE if that is not working. I use a 32 ounce ballpeen hammer and have never found one I couldn't get out. I just did mine 3 days ago with 2 swings each.

I might be interested in it for parts. whats the gear ratio? I'm in waterford so getting it is no big deal. TNT
