    funny email

i just laughed my @$$ OFF lol
  2. absolutely zero chance of a 86 shortbed. however, it could be an early 87 sent out in 86
  3. ...you're gonna have to pay to have gears reset if you want a tracloc. you also need to tell us the gears you have..carriers changed with gear ratio you'll actually most likely spend less $$$ on a 4wd conversion than you would on the trac-loc plus gears being redone. but, that's only if you can find a damn good deal on a 4wd xj or mj.
  4. lol oh yeah I forgot, you guys aren't fond with your neighbors.. bah, idc anymore. nothing i can do. they're a conglomerate though, and their growth needs to be STOPPED dead in it's tracks like yesterday.
  5. i don't want you coming with chico. your talk of breaking, will jinx this trip. J/K
  6. i pride myself in the fact that mine didn't come from walmart, thanks.
  7. i've got a nice Stanley toolset that i use, but the damn ratchets broke...gotta pick up new ones. I have trouble finding stuff in it sometimes...
  8. me too!
  9. nope. the rear window is glued in. the "gasket" is just for looks, and for centering the window in the hole. just like a windshield, it is glued in.
  10. um. this IS my exhaust... Image Not Found had to yank the entire thing so i could work on the tranny...damn thing gets in the way.
  11. *shrug* it's not a nice truck anyways. but it runs and drives. that's the only benefit of it. not sure what it'll become, whether junk or not.
  12. the kid is a kinda an idiot because he drove an unregistered vehicle. anyways. if it's gonna be this much hassle for a $100 vehicle, i'm gonna scrap it. I won't pay for HIM to register it, when he already should have done that. and he sure isn't gonna do it. i hate retards. he didn't tell me about this crap until I was supposed to get it. blah.
  13. wisconsin doesn't require title transfer to be notarised, so i don't even know where to look on that one. nope. haven't called as I'm not around til after hours
  14. hang on buddy. don't put an internal slave back in it. I can send you all the parts you need to convert it to an external slave cylinder, including the slave cylinder itself. your bellhousing is the same, but you need two studs on the right side where the external goes in. then you'd need the throwout plate, throwout bearing, pivot piece, and slave cylinder. just reroute the clutch line to go across to the right hand side of the tranny. interested? (BTW this would be a brand new slave cylinder as well)
  15. but he SIGNED the title...how is that to be properly explained and/or worked around. the REGISTRAR of the vehicle is the one who signs the title...meaning that he would have to do so. I'm not sure if you understand that this is a problem here; the title, gets signed by the person who takes it to register it (I use register loosely as it can also simply be a transfer of title). either way, that means that it's gonna be harder for us to get this done, and cost money for a frickin notary, or cost money to have the darn title put in his name first, then transferred to scorpio_vette's name
  16. excuse, i'm in the salt belt...
  17. ANY j-truck that's that clean, with that fresh a paint job, would have me leary. typical rust-issues along all body-seems. i don't "see" anything wrong with it (besides that dent), and that makes me uncomfortable. ask him alot of VERY SPECIFIC questions about it and the body work/paint on it, before you think of goin out there.
  18. Then there shouldn't be a problem. The DMV does not need to know he was driving it without a registration. By the paper trail, he is the legal owner. There's no law that says you must drive a vehicle when you buy it, right? So he bought it, and now he wants to sell it. Ask the DMV if they have a supplemental transfer form, like the one we have in CT, for such situations. This CAN'T be the first time somoen in WI has wanted to sell a vehicle without ever putting tags on it. *sigh this isn't as difficult as you're making it. he SIGNED the buyer's location on the title, then NEVER REGISTERED IT or took it to the DMV. this means that the title is no longer a valid form, unless this guy (the middle man who was dumb enough to sign the title in the buyer's location, but doesn't wish to finish the action by actually registering it in his name so he can legally sell it), were to actually finish the transfer, then sign in the SELLER'S location on the new title, so that he can sell it. back down to the facts here; PO sells jeep (signs seller location on the title) Buyer of jeep drives it over a year, without ever swapping title into his name Buyer wants to sell jeep Buyer signs in Buyer's location on the title now, the buyer from the buyer (technically me) doesn't have an option to re-register the car, because the original buyer is an idiot. that should get us back to the facts.
  19. Gotcha. Yeah, that could be a problem. nope. this guy bought it from the original owner. he drove it, but never registered it (he's literally the dumbest person I'll ever meet). he signed the BUYER'S spot. so, the original owner signed the seller's spot, then he signed the buyer's spot. I suppose they could both go to the DMV, and be co-owners then sign the paperwork a week or so later to remove this guy from the papers. just not too sure really. I'm just not sure what to do. the kid's a moron, so I want him out of the deal. I'm giving it to scorpio_vette from scorpion automotive (wi4x4.com member) in milwaukee, because I don't need it, and he REALLY does need a shop vehicle right now.
  20. are you getting that heat on the driver's side? just drive it in winter 8) lol. it's from the bellhousing area is my best guess...no idea why it would be different than other 4.0's though in the quantity of heat you get.
  21. I'm picking up an MJ from a guy, and just GIVING it to a local jeeper because of his hard times with his jeep...he doesn't have an acceptable or even safe DD right now. anyways, the #@#%$#^(^&( who has the comanche, never registered it. the other day he calls me and said "I signed it, it's all ready to go"...at which point i started saying a couple profain things to him (i know him personally, so he'll take it in stride). he signed a title of a vehicle he's never registered. the only way I see for it to be registered now, is if he goes back to the PO before him and gets a new title, or if he comes with to the DMV to explain it. he won't come to the DMV, and i'm sure he won't bother with the PO. is there any paperwork anywhere for him to sign acknowledging the mistake? i mean, what can we really do except have him register it, then sell it so this other guy can register it? thanks in advance.
  22. there's no "seal" on the front of the tranny. just a gasket on the front plate. after that is the input bearing and cross shaft front bearing.
  23. let me put it this way; my truck was doing that 2 weeks ago (leaky slave and master cyls), and look where it got  get that master in A.S.A.P. and hope to hell you didn't wreck the tranny. IF you decide to put the other one in there, let me know as I would like to get an AX15 to take apart and probably rebuild (my interest is piqued...I liked my tranny rebuild)
  24. I broke off the lower mounting point for the trackbar...completely. but not THAT bad. get two pieces of C channel, 2 feet long each. sleeve the frame, and redrill the holes. drill extra holes, and weld those holes up. no vertical welds. angle every corner, and weld them at an angle. they'll tear otherwise.
