  1. except the gc has OTK steering...which is better for drive angles with lift.
  2. LOL no. Funny story with that though. When we drove out to Jeepcos to pick up Ally's truck, all the screws in that mudflap decided to be rusted out at that point, so Pat looked right at me, and said "Just take that off, you won't need it." Ironic? um...you won't need the muffler either???
  3. 4.0 = ax15 or ba10/5 ax5 is similar but not hte same as the ax15. basically it's baby bro. you're lucky the clutch works. it's not the right one. post a pic of your tranny if you could.
  4. correct. ax5 not much of a chance of it being a T-5...so far as I know, they were only used on a minimal basis, in 1986 and 1987
  5. incorrect. newer AW4's (cutoff year sometime in 1990) are 23 spline output.
  6. picked up this beater today for parts, and began parting out. at one point during the day, there were 7 MJ's at my place between me, my dad's, my bro's, 89eliminator's, geonovast's, and geonovast's friend's. Image Not Found Image Not Found as it sits now there's no tranny, front axle, cab section, and half the interior is removed. 4 cylinder 5 speed MJ.
  7. agreed with pete. you won't bypass the ECU on the renix system, as the injectors won't be timed properly then. what's your beef with ECU's? an ECU is usually the strong link in the system...in a renix 4.0 system, the first thing to cause issues is the mass of sensors (hence the lack of some of them on the HO system)
  8. truck will be scrapped. for $75 more on a junker/beater, f*k it. not worth my money.
  9. :P I have the burlington triangle here...where all the jeeps crawl out of the woodwork and present themselves.
  10. well, here's the thing. your disco is NOT hooked up to that vacuum canister in any way, shape, or form. it just has hoses that run from the t-case to the disco. that's it. so, somethings screwed up if that's working NOW and your heater controls arent...i'd say vacuum hoses are pretty screwed up on your rig.
  11. it's the bushing hanging up. get a new one...that one's shot. you need your tranny and engine to be PERFECTLY level to each other to seperate them right now.
  12. ANOTHER one. $75 85 wagoneer 4 cylinder 5 speed. big ol' passenger side hit... 4.10 gears...good parts jeep.
  13. the inspection cover ones you've probably forgotten are the two "upper/side" bolts...something like a 13mm bolt. can you wiggle the tranny but not pull it out right now? that would be the part that's hanging up.
  14. remove bolts from the bellhousing-to-engine. remove starter remove bolts for the inspection cover. split.
  15. instead of C-clamps, since they may snap open, get truck cap clamps. they're cheap. thin foam if you wish, bed flipped up on top, clamp her down.
  16. sorry man :-/ we'll get that MJ done, no matter what.
  17. mine does :D
  18. thanks dude. the 5th/reverse slider was bent (I believe) but it seems to have loosened up. I added another piece today... new sub Image Not Found and, Image Not Found
