  1. Advance auto has them.
  2. Does it include a crank sensor, any idea how much it is? Thanks Yes, it can still be purchased. The Chrysler part # is 83100066
  3. I just read another thread about a crank sensor patch kit.Could this be my problem and is it something i can still buy?
  4. It has new cap, wires, rotor and plugs. I think i have an extra coil,i'll try changing it and spring for a new CPS.
  5. I have'nt checked the fuel pressure but it has a new pump in it. My wiring harness is not the orginal one, it does'nt have the ballast resistor. And it has new o-rings on the injectors and no smoke on start up. Sometimes it will do a loud backfire before it finally starts, but not to often.
  6. Does anyone live close to Ashtabula that would be willing to come to my house and help me fix my 89 MJ? I would gladly pay you to help me get my starting issues fixed. I have to crank it for several minutes to get it started. After it starts and runs for a minute if i shut it off it will start again in about 5 seconds of cranking. The starting issues have put a stop to my to do list for the winter on the truck.
  7. Has anyone used the newer style windshield rubber seal instead of the metal trim. I have to have a windshield installed and thought i might upgrade if it will work.
  8. Hey Willy Hope you do'nt mind me asking questions.Did the 231 yoke bolt right on to the Mazda shaft or did you have to do some machine work? Thanks. Gary

  10. Thanks Willy. It's the stock bracket that the shift linkage pivots on. I just drilled a hole in the appropriate place in the brackets and welded a bolt in for my shifters to pivot on. The shafts that come up through the floor? They are solid rod I picked up at the hardware store and bent to the necessary shape. Also found the shift knobs at the hardware store. Willy
  11. Nice job on the shifters. Can you give me any more info on them? Did you make the plate that bolts to the tranny or is it something i can buy? What are the shafts off of? They really look good? Thanks. Gary
  12. Just wondering if anyone was running a 231 doubler? How do you like it and what did you do for shifters? Cost? How do you get in touch with Duffy to buy one?
  13. Seems like i remember someone saying that the 97-98 XJ door seals will work on our MJ's and are thicker. Can anyone confirm this for me? Can anyone get their hands on a set for me? Thanks
  14. Sounds like your the guy i want to talk to. I thought the exhaust header changed around 90 or 91. Do you know if my distributor and oil pan will work in the 97? All i would be getting with the 97 is a bare block and head.I had sold this block to a kid early in 2008 and know the history on the motor, its a real good donor.Sounds like this may be my best choice. Thanks for any help you could give me.
  15. I have plenty of time.I'm retired and have just started taking stuff off the truck to do the body work and put a paint job on it this winter. It's strickly an offroader. As for tools i got more than i would care to count and plenty of skill,i just do'nt have the knowledge about the swap. Will my head off the 89 bolt onto the 97 block without any modifications?Which push rods would i use?
