  1. Our manche has the ba-10 tranny and here in Austin I can't find a mount. Most of the part's store's can't even find a part #. Any help would be great.
  2. I got out the piggy bank and filled up the van. This weekend's project is to get the '90 efi sami I got back up and sticker'd so I can dd it at about 30 mph.

I'll play. The bar I go to has about 15 Dave's that hang out there so it got to were we were call'd by what we did for a living. I turn wrench's so I was call'd mech. Dave. There was elect. Dave , plumber dave, and so on. When I got my sami they start'd calling me Suzuki Dave then all my buddy's shortin'd it to zuki Dave and now they just call me Zuki. Hell my G/F call's me Zuki more then she does Dave.
  4. Thought I post some pic's of a project I've got going at work. 62 willys pickup with 03 Rubicon drive drive train. 4.0, auto. trans., four link coil spring's f/r with waggy dana 44's, the entire wiring harness fron the rubicon down to the air bag's working.
  5. JKS make's a spacer that go's behind the bearing assy. to move it out 1/4" then you can use the ZJ stuff. Me and a dude at work have been looking all the jeep brake's as we're both doing up grade's and the best we can tell you should be able to swap from the ball joint's out an any dana 30 knuckle should swap out. I'll do some checking tomorrow at work but I think by swapping from the knuckle out the bigger brake's should be a bolt on
  6. Thank's guy's. I just cheched an the aw-4 is 21 spline's an our ,manche is an 89 so all should be good right ? The t-case already has a SYE. kit so that's why I want to use it. This is the G/F's dd so I need to do this swap in one weekend. Will be doing the tranny swap, new dash, bed liner in the cab so I need to be sure I've got it all ready to go when I start the project. We have a few doner XJ's at the shop to pick part's from so I've got everything I should need.
  7. Ok I'am about to do a tranny swap from a Puegot to a AW4 auto and have heard that the output spline's are diff. on the two. So my ? is will the t-case I have work or do I need to change the input shaft.
  8. At the jeep shop I work at we see this all the time on the XJ's. The problem is the rubber elbow in the tank. The rubber get's hard with age and does not hold residual pressure so the pump has to build line pressure in the fuel line. Cycle the key a few time's and if it start's better then that's your problem. You can see what I'am talking about if you use a fuel pressure gauge and watch the gauge as you cycle the key
  9. X2!
  10. I think that having a 1/2 top on a lj would be cool. As in now I'am cool'in 1/2 the space. I know that when I did the windjammer and duster set up on my sami the heat an air work'd real good afterward's If they made one for the sami's I'd be all over it.. Think about it you got haft the space to heat/cool, With hard door's it's dry, it quieter, an you can lock the door's.
  11. I've seen small home owner size cement mixer's use'd for tumbler's. Fill it with some steel shot an they work great.
  12. Thank's We aint had it out wheel'in yet but the onroad ride is way better. Next is to build some bumper's and rock slider's an trash the nurf bar's the PO. had weld'd on.
  13. With the RE. 5 1/2" short arm lift I couldn't get enough caster in the front ant the tire's where pull'd back in the wheel well's so out came the welder and add'd about 2 1/2 -3" to the arm's. For the lower's I cut and sleave'd the RE. arm's with some 1 3/4" dom tube. The upper's I had some RE. grand cherokee rear upper's that I lenghten'd an change'd the axle end giving me a flex joint on both upper and lower arm's. The new upper's. I did add more lenght to these after the pic. The new lower's. With 33" claw's before th move. After the move. With 33" claw's on 15x10 's
  14. I just had the g/f's 89 on the alinment rack at work an we could'nt get enough caster in it. It's got a R/E. 5.5 lift with fix's lower arm's. The alinment slot's were not long enough to slide the arm's enough forward.
