Crap. I didnt even think of CV shaft. It shouldnt hurt anything to run one CV and the other u joint shaft should it? What model do I need to source from? Ugh. Recived wrong shaft yesterday (my fault for not xhecking u joint size). Also got my new hub bearing, valve cover gasket, sway bar links, and AC oring set. Still waiting on the reciever drier. Gonna see if I can source a used stub shaft locally and hopefully get her back on the road this weekend. Back on topic. Friday at lunch I lost a drivers front wheel. Always recheck you aluminum wheel lug nuts. It ate a wheel (already have an extra) and a hub bearing. Decided to change the axle ujoint while I was right there. Then I found this. So now I am waiting on a new shaft and bearing to arrive along with a valve cover gasket and some ac parts. The new ujoint is pressed into the inner shaft ready for the new outer to arrive. I got the tire swapped off the damaged rim and onto the spare and rotated the tires. Next I think I'm gonna start on some suspension work. So in the process of replacing my driver front wheel bearing. Noticed the u joint was bad. Run to parts store get bearing and I joint. Come home to install parts and notice this. Its the outter stub shaft. Any suggestins on best place to source one quickly? I'm not sure brand or what model truck it is made for. It is not an mj specific topper. Just an old fiberglass topper my buddy had sitting around. I'm currently notching it to clear my cargo light. It will get painted to match the truck. I pulled it out of the shop to find the coolant leak on the daughters grand cherokee. And I ordered the new windshield. It should be here in the next couple of days and it'll be on the road again.
