  1. wow, skid plate package and all.....that thing is a beauty!
  2. Definently sounds like a fuel issue. I experienced a very similar situation when the hose between the fuel pump and the sending unit came loose inside the tank...
  3. here's the best 1 can do for a close up photo, the texture isnt caught by the camera but it really a pretty smooth surface. and here's a quick picture for the heck of it.
  4. A quick wash during a 60 degree January day, figured it was an excuse to snap a photo.
  5. Its been alittle while since Oscar had a photo taken, so i figured what the heck. Its still runnin strong as ever!
  6. I don't currently have any, but id be glad to snap a pic or 2 for ya. Thanks for the compliments, this truck made a sucessful round trip 100 or so miles the other week for my parents, thats the most this trucks been run under my ownership. Its been very reliable though and Dad still enjoys it greatly!
  7. The origonal Wrangler Unlimited ran from 03-06 i believe, and they were desiginated "LJ"s
  8. Thats not an MJ shift knob, although the AX4 was offered in many MJs... The "easy to fix" frame rust doesnt look very promising near the LR leaf spring front perch....
  9. XJ and MJ 2.5L engines share the same parts.....you shouldnt have any issues with fitment. As for your high idle, check your manifold bolts for proper tightness and then look towards your TPS ;)
  10. The axle housings themselves are the same width but the ZJ uses Coils and control arms on the rear comapred to the leaf spings on the XJ. The axles could be swapped by cutting and welding the proper bracketry though, but for a bolt in swap its a no go.
  11. Dorman part # 03269 Available @ Advance or any other Dorman retailer ;)
  12. Fuel pump swaps are very easy in the MJs compared to many other vehicles. Next time though, pull the drive shaft....itll free up SO much more room under there ;)
  13. Yep theyre not too awful expensive and fairly common to come by. Been there done that!
  14. Id love to spend an afternoon walking through there......bet there is atleast 1 nice MJ/XJ to pick over
  15. I played the "wait for paint" game as well last year. Hang in there, before you know it all the thoughts and dreams you have about it will be right in front of ya
  16. Congrats bud! I am definently 1 of your fans since youve picked this thing up!
  17. Any word on 2013 Calanders yet?
  18. Sweet! I really like those bedrail caps!
  19. Happy 2013 guys..... and happy 21st birthday to the final production MJs this year as well!
  20. With my short experience with it, the Idea and concept is great but it leaves alot to be desired....The twist motion is only effective if the bolt/nut is pretty much finger loose and the teeth inside don't take much abuse before they begin skipping. I bought myself 1 a few months ago outta curiosity... I got a few nice Craftsman tools from the Woman and the parentals
  21. Christmas brought a few small gifts for this truck. 1.5" hub centric wheel spacers for the rear. I like this look much better on the MJs and a cool sign just for props.
  22. Is there a bumper in front of your bumper? HaHa Looks like a great truck to start with!
  23. Yep, after seeing the price of these things I think i just need to get alittle dirty and dig a seat outta the parts Jeep, its an 88 Waggy XJ and I'm sure i can salvage 1 of those pans.
