  1. I just installed a stronger steering setup from Rugged Ridge. This will probably be excatly what your looking for! Scroll to the bottom of the page and you can get a glimpse of the kit. http://comancheclub.com/topic/11058-88-comanche-my-stylethe-blue-truck/page__st__160
  2. Wow dude i admire the fact you pull jobs like axle swaps and all outside in cold Canadian winter weather....I'm 2 much of a wimp for that crap, hahaha
  3. Nothing wrong with a collection like that! Welcome to the madness!
  4. YES! I'm with this guy. haha
  5. Hey I can add another XJ to my list. since I last responded ;)
  6. This big Update theyre about to do, Is that gonna effect all the old photos already uploaded?
  7. Acctually the V8 ZJ coils and the Up country XJ coils share the same part number. The ride with them was slightly stiffer than stock, but they rode nice. Ive since transfered them to my 96 XJ and now run 2" Rustys coils on this truck. Theyre an easy upgrade for alittle height though and would reccommend them to anyone ;) Today I decided to throw on my Rugged Ridge steering setup. Very straight forward install. You can clearly see the strength difference just looking at the 2 setups. All installed and tightened down, a simple "driveway alignment" to reset the toe-in and shes rollin again. Have to get a steering stabilizer installed yet (stock 1 is pretty worn). The intial review, I'm pretty happy with the parts....Curious to see how they hold up over time for me compared to some others experience's
  8. The P.O had a new tank installed in Oscar before i bought the truck, and its only a 13.5 gallon tank, looks the same as the 18.5 in my other trucks though from the outside, this was also the tank with the XJ sending unit installed somehow....weird, lol
  9. Recieved my Rugged Ridge Steering setup today. Ive never had issues with the OEM stuff but I figured alittle strength wouldnt hurt, plus it was good deal! Should throw it all on next week sometime ;)
  10. Thanks, thats good to hear. I got everything today and will throw it on next week sometime. I always like trying out products to have a review for others anyway ;)
  11. The SWB also offered a 13.5 gallon tank.....so swapping that out for the 18.5 gallon tank should be possible.
  12. Hey fellas, Do any of you guys have any experience with the Rugged Ridge HD steering setup? I got a decent price on 1 earlier this week but after reading numerous reviews on Jeep Forum I'm wondering if it isnt such a good idea... It will be going on my blue truck which is on about 3.5" of lift and 31" tires. Just looking for any other opinions and seeing it I would be better off just re selling the kit and investing in another setup after cutting my losses...
  13. Cool deal! anxious to see how they work for ya.
  14. That work body truck is pretty sweet! and youve already got a parts rig.....youll be right at home here! haha
  15. Ugh, well it seemed like it all went smoothly, but this evening after a cold prime with the key, the clip popped off again......I'm not sure if i got the wrong size clip or what but i just can't get the setup to "click" and seal. Ill mess with it more (its not like its spring or anything, lol).....but this has become slightly frusturating.
  16. Finished up the parking brake swap tonight, itll sure be nice this year not to have to worry about the parking brake popping free and my truck rolling away...
  17. I have 1 mounted on the Trans tunnel right beside my right knee.
  18. My trucks are $58.60 a year, however "Walker" has classic tags and was exempt from annual registration with a 1 time $90 payment last year.
  19. Been there! Atleast your out havin fun! hahaha
  20. Hmm, intresting but id hate to see a peice of History like the Street Comanche be subjected to this....idk
  21. I'm in for a few bucks!
  22. Or.....Purchase a trailer that can fit the MJ and the popup camper on together and tow with the Cummins :dunno:
  23. That pretty much sums it up!
  24. Finally decided to swap out the worn parking brake assembly, I got the old 1 out figured id compare. While i was under the dash I found this nice little bundle of wire, This was very likely the culprit to the electrical issues this truck was plagued with shortly after i took possestion, I'm glad it never escalated into anything worse, and I'm very glad i found this and was able to take care of it this evening. As mentioned before, there is a suprise coming for this truck....It should be ready to ship Saturday and hopefully be available for me to share with you guys sometime next week... :)
  25. Haha o ok, i just got excited i guess. Oops
