  1. I moved this truck into its Winter retreat on Friday. I have a few small projects to keep me after it over the next few months and itll be back in action and ready to turn some heads once again when warmer weather resumes.
  2. This phase can't be expressed enough these days. Sadly though the selection of reliable NON bias factual sources is dwindling rapidly.....Idk what to think about the future for Jeep or our Livestyles and this country anymore, I'm just sittin back and am along for the ride for now...
  3. Even more special that the Country package was discontinued after the 97 model year and this was the only year a newer body style XJ was offered with a Country trim package. Looks like you got the winner you have been searching for....another prime example that great things come to those who wait
  4. Yeah.....I'm not too concered, alittle wind alittle rain.....yawn, lol
  5. http://harrisburg.cr...3364465668.html Idk if anyone is in the area and the price is kinda steep (but reasonable for the conditiion). VERY NICE TRUCK!!!!
  6. RFN= Right F'n Now. hahaha can it be custom bent or just replaced with some generic fuel line?
  7. if its 4x4 check the double cardan join on the front driveline. When they begin to fail they have a tendency to squeak up to a certian speed.
  8. Idk for a 4cyl 2wd that needs completly restored.....$2500 seems alittle steep even if it is a Race truck. I admire the history behind it but most probably just see a 2wd 4cyl Jeep.
  9. Ouch on the Eliminator! Great work though on the other!
  10. Installing an upgraded booster in my 88 2wd MJ. The booster came out of a 2000 XJ. Plumbed all the lines and such and when i went to bolt up the petal I noticed it sat WAY higher than it did before! I have the metal spacer behind the foam on the booster but added some custom spacers to help drop it back a bit, it has helped some but its still at a decent height. Are there an issues I'm not aware of or is this just a by product of this model booster? I have a duel booster out of a 96 XJ in my Blue 88 and it acctually made the pedal sit a bit lower. Thanks for any advice!
  11. On my 1988 "Blue Truck" Ive noticed over the past year or so that my rear axle shaft seals have been on their way out, a slight dribble of fluid and a reminense of gear oil in the wheels wells. However knowing that removal and pressing on and off new bearings and seals is kinda a hassle ive been looking into upgraded alloy shaft kits. Now my truck is still only on 31s with rebuilt factory Trac-lok and will likely be run that way for a good while but is it worth the money to upgrade to alloy "pre assembled" shafts now? Also if so ive noticed not all the manufactures offer the retaining plates... Anyway the simple question is should i swing the cash and upgrade to alloys or should i just suck it up and pull a rebuild job on my current shafts? Are there any reputible aftermarket shaft companies that sell an XJ/MJ Dana 44 kit with correct retainers already pre assembled and ready to bolt in on arrival? Thanks as always guys!
  12. The "ABS" commercial is probably the most "whitty" lol
  13. Anything particular youd like to see? theres a few images of the racing trucks on the CC facebook page.
  14. Theres a few races online from this era, i just sit back some evenings and watch a few over again......Awesome stuff for sure! Also I'm happy to see Robby Gordon bringing back stadium truck racing in 2013 but it won't be anything like this was back in this era...
  15. My final peice of this small batch of projects. Ive been dealing with "heat soak" with this truck on hot days for a good while but took the time to try this "mod" out now anyway. From what ive gathered the heat soak on the late model 4.0s is due to fuel vaporizing in the injectors. So i figured id give this simple idea a go and see if it has any effects next time the truck gets working hard. I picked up a set of performance spark plug boot protectors. Cut them down and installed them around the injectors, this should provide adequate heat protection to keep the fuel in a liquid state. Figured it was worth a shot :dunno: Thats it for now
  16. Great Video! Really loved the old Racing footage!
  17. Its back on Ebay once again, Man Id love for someone on here to snatch this up and return it somewhat to its former glory! I SOOOOO Wish i could get my hands on this 1.  :papers: http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item35c0b78414
  18. The Automatic transmissions use a different TPS setup that involves 2 plugs. That is the other 1.
  19. Got another small project in the mail yesterday. Thanks "RockMJ!" I picked this B&M trans cooler up off him, to replace the chepo 1 I had previously installed. With the hose already ran all that was left to do was locate the new cooler and make up a few mounts. Back together once again. Time to head back up to the house.
  20. This^ :rotfl2:
  21. I havent the slightest clue, It was either ordered like that from the factory (who knows, lol) or swapped at some point. Its just as clean as the rest of the interior and the previous owner(s) didnt seem like they were into modifying anything so I'm leaning towards a factory optioned part....but I have wondered that as well. :hmm: Thanks again for the compliments
  22. The chain auto parts stores a no different than a walmart.....if you can be taught to operate their computer system theyll hire you. Doesnt matter if you have any knowledge of the products your selling or not....
  23. Put a few miles on the truck this weekend. I have a few minor plans for this truck when it goes into the garage for the winter, ill keep yall updated. Its been a blast all summer with this truck and with "show" season over I can only wait till next spring!
  24. Congrats. Believe me you can make the relationship and Jeep thing work together
  25. Decided to throw on the skid plate this evening. Definently looks alot nicer than the stock unit and should provide the protection the ole' 231 needs  Gotta represent the decal 8) Sadly I'm not making it up to Rausch this month but when the time comes Itll be ready. Winter is on its way here in PA so I'm gearing up for hopefully an overload of Snow and some awesome MJ adventures
