  1. I really like the sound of the Thrush welded muffler paired with an 18" glasspack in place of the Cat.....this is of course on a 4.0.
  2. Unless you're running 3" or so of lift, then the stock d35 shaft can be used. (Atleast worked for me with no issues now going on 7 years)
  3. Make sure any 242 you find is out of a 90 or older model or else you'll have to swap the transmission as well due to spline counts.
  4. OEM headers had studs into the downpipe, if it's aftermarket then it'll more than likely be bolts, won't know till ya look sadly. As for the doughnut gasket, chances are if there is a leak there it would be worth replacing. I'm willing to bet you have a cracked exhaust manifold itself that's leaking, over a loose joint at the downpipe...
  5. An exhaust manifold replacement walkthrough I think would be helpful to alot of members 👍
  6. Welcome!
  7. This..... Hahaha
  8. Any 80w90 will be just fine, if you have Limited slip, be sure either the fluid includes friction modifier or you add it as well. 2qts of fluid will be enough.
  9. Happy birthday! My 2 1988s turned 30 last year, the wood truck will be 30 come October.
  10. . Thats great! It sure is cold around here though in PA, with no end in sight.
  11. Wishing the best for every member in 2018
  12. I like it!
  13. Check for a set of bullet connectors under the tailgate area, they are there for a license plate light if the truck came without a rear bumper (it was an option). If they are plugged together the circuit will back feed itself when the brake lights are applied. Simply unplug them and cover them up from the elements.
  14. I agree. Hang in there Pete, it's the time of the year where being cooped up inside with thoughts and ideas is the norm for many of us
  15. 2" XJ shackles will lift an MJ 1.5"
  16. A few of mine have names. Walker, Oscar, others are just a descriptive name, Wood Truck, Blue truck.......you get it. 👍
  17. The surface isn't too bad, but inside the holes is pretty crummy, i don't see much if any signs of peeling, just oxidized
  18. Looking for any tips, tricks and Methods for getting a set of Aluminum 10 hole Eliminator wheels cleaned up. They do have tires mounted currently. I do have a power drill. Thanks for any help!
  19. Have had syncromesh in my AX15 for 7 years now, given the fact the truck only gets maybe 500 miles a year on it, I've had no issues.
  20. Yep, with time set aside for teaching it shouldn't take but and hour or so.
  21. I had a rear wheel bearing come apart on my one D44 a month or so ago. If you can, after a drive check the rear wheels and see if there's excessive heat coming from either of the drums. My RR was hot and when I pulled the shaft it brought a bunch of metal out with it....a new bearing and seal and a flush and fill of the axle and it was going again. Good luck.
  22. Wow.....i got on my home computer and its shows free shipping, but on my phone i get the $50 shipping. All from the same link!? Yeah I'm confused. haha
  23. This is where the link takes me...???
