  1. Alright cool. Sounds like a small project to dig into this week. Should i lookin into just replacing the cable or will getting some lube in there be good enough?
  2. Yeah the needle has become somewhat unstable and bouncy over the past week or so. Ive never messed with a speedo cable before and don't really know anything about where it is or anything on out trucks. I'm prepared 2 tear into the dash since i might as well replace a few bulbs in there as well.
  3. Alright, well just today on a short Highway trip my Speedometer cable began making a very noticable squeeking noise. Does it just need lubed up, or possibly replaced. I know its the cable since it varies with speed and the noise is defently from inside the truck. Any other tips or anything else 2 look for. thanks
  4. I noticed the same thing when i was redoing my floors, i simply capped off the frame rails and POR-15ed the caps and inside the frame. than just welded in the new floor, there is a gap but since everything is covered and coated i don't worry about it
  5. Those are simply vaccum caps.....theyre not connected to anything, mines the same way
  6. All TJs were LP Axles? i did not know that, i figured they would have switched when the XJs did. What was the purpose of a LP D30 anyway?
  7. I acctually don't know if you could run a Stinger style bumper and i couldent find anything on how much protruding material was allowed to stick out, but I think theyre would be a rule somewhere aginst it, i just can't seem 2 find it. Yeah I'm currently not working for a shop anymore so I can't get my hands on emissions equipment....lol sorry
  8. Correct, wether its a flatbed or just fenders something has 2 be overtop the wheels. I hold a current PA State Safety and Emmisions inspection license so feel free to ask any other questions as well

  13. Gulf Station for me.....Ethanol free means more MPGs and a happyer 4.0 in both vehicles  the rest have 2 much crap mixed in including Ethanol
  14. also another tip, if it doesnt bother you during your repairs cut out a slot inside the fender to eliminate the shelf that mud and crap collects on and this will also allow you to clean out the inner fender easyer. It won't be visable to the casual viewer either.
  15. Cleaned IAC Again and finally got a grease nozzle and greased up my front driveshaft joint. than went driving in the snow

  20. Loose Spare tire in stock carrier? Exhaust hitting something? it could be a number of things, likely fairly noticable
  21. I have an almost identical bumper sitting in my garage, just buy a set of those mounts for the MJ and have em welded on....ta da, ill sell it cheap, its just taking up space.
  22. Besides Spings and shackles your going to need... LCAs UCAs Adj. Track Bar Longer Brake Lines Shocks Swaybar discos I really hope its not advertised as a 6" lift shackle, b/c theyre isnt such a thing so Leaf Packs or going SOA will be in order as well as any additional hardware that youll need along the way. 6" of lift takes a good amount of money and work, its definently not something that is cheap.
  23. Hmm all lights work but no flashers or turn signals......sounds alot like a turn signal switch. Check this thread, i went through a similar situation a few months back viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18352
  24. Looks like a typical start to a project but nothing we havent seen before.....Make sure you keep us updated :waving:
  25. Ha Ha yeah i didnt figure it would be an easy and cheap task......i kinda think i should just pass these up and save the space of storage in my garage for something more worthwhile, lol
