  1. I'll be building em tomorrow!
  2. Bo is having me build him a set of sliders for his Trailhawk. there seems to be a lot of interest on the cherokee forum. wasnt sure if anybody here also had a newer cherokee that would be interested in a set of sliders also... check it, i havent started building them yet. waiting on blueprint finalization and then theyll be lasered out and bent. price i don't know for sure yet. (as soon as the prints are done ill know) this is just a feeler... http://jeepcherokeeclub.com/49-exterior/181842-rock-sliders.html
  3. I'm still making them (shipped 4 in the past 2 weeks) We've talked a little. I think she's trying to find a local shop to build one with my plates. The exchange rate I think is what's a big deal here... Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  4. I pull an 18' steel car hauler with my mj. Usually has my side by side and 2 quads on it (roughly 2200 lbs) and I just hauled a Ford Focus up some hills and hollers. I'm running 235s with stock geared Dana 35 with an ax15 and a 4.5" Rusty's lift. I don't have the 4.0L. I have a 3.3L cummins (85 hp/215 ft/lb) but still pulls about the same. I installed trailer brake controller and upgraded master cylinder. No problems pulling, just downshift. And stopping is fine, again, downshift. And I run one of my hitches, obviously. 5. I haven't even started to look at them... Got a lot going on and decided to jump into the 2014-16 Cherokee market for a bit. It'd still be a couple months before I look at them... Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  6. I build hitches for the mjs... Check out my ad in the vendor classifieds...
  7. ^^well with this bumper and set up we both figured a double shear would distribute the weight and stress better through the bumper. And we didn't know, and still don't know, how well this spindle will hold up. And as far as the bracket goes, I have measurements now to make them. Just have to find a double shear ready spindle. Drilling out and tapping and modifying a normal spindle seems like too much work for what it's worth... But definitely wouldn't be messing with Comp4x4's anymore..
  8. I'm not sure if you can run/make a double shear bracket to fit on that spindle... That's the only way I'd do a swing away is with a double shear. There's too much weight and stress on it with just the spindle and no other support. But ruff stuff is a good company to deal with I've heard.
  9. Thanks. And you can tell the 1" weld is a cover up because that side is a bend, not a seam. So it had to have cracked when they put it in the press to bend it up. And it's going to be a while on a finished product. I haven't even started on the bumper for John yet. But I can post some mock up pictures later. And if nobody noticed, I flipped the bracket side to side. Originally it mounted on the passenger side. Not its the opposite way so it'll mount on the drivers side.
  10. doing a little end of april sale...nothing big, just maybe enough to help some guys out... until end of april, $20 off a complete hitch. thanks, Brandon
  11. END OF APRIL SALE!!! Sliders--- $25 off a set without the tube step $10 off a set with the tube step Rear bumper--- $15 off Hitches---$20 off complete hitch i know its not a huge discount/savings/sale but maybe itll help some people out a little bit. like ive said before, I'm not in it to make a huge profit, just to help members out. UNTIL END OF APRIL i have a 2-3 week lead time (might be more depending on orders) i do this in the little bit of spare time i have before work and on weekends. so everybody keep that in mind. Thanks, Brandon
  12. Tubing is measured outside diameter and wall thickness. Pipe is measured some stupid way... Never used this bender before. I have an EZ Bender. Works good. But only bends 90° I personally would use 1.75"x1/8" wall tubing for a bumper (probably about all that bender will do if even that...) ^^ this size tubing is what I use on my sliders that I sell on here... Not sure on price to individuals, I get it at cost... https://www.roguefab.com/product/bendernotcher-elite-package-free-shipping/ This is what I'm looking at getting next I think.
  13. Me and my dad still have no idea... Guess you'll just have to donate your truck to me for research purposes so I can fix this problem... Ha.
  14. i wouldnt even ever run a bed stack in my cummins comanche! maybe my next cummins swap in am mj. but itd be a HOOD stack and itll be a "drag" truck... i like the bed side exit exhaust^^^^^^
  15. Yessir. I'll have to look at it on my laptop with bigger pictures and maybe upload ones I have...
  16. I have no idea.... I have the same brackets and everything. Hmm.... Got me stumped.
  17. You shouldn't have had to put washers in there.... Unless it's that much too wide. Or your frame might be different than my 91... But other than it looks good. Thanks for the post.
  18. truck hit 10,000 miles a while ago! and 11,111.1 miles!
  19. built me a nice welding table this weekend to get some projects done!
  20. Who's making side plates? http://comancheclub.com/topic/47686-hitch-plates/ Great quality. Great deal! Is there a website or contact info I could link to my website? this is the only place i have them posted. I'm not sure the best way for you to post them other than to tell people to get on here and PM me. i don't check email that often. Text or a call would work also 812-236 6109 (everybody try to keep this as adult as you can and no horseplay with my number.) Who's making side plates? i am. just PM me or you can click the above link for information.
  21. update on stock style bumpers... a couple failed attempts (ones too big, ones too small) and ive got some kinda bad news... maybe.... these pieces are only 24" long... which i had broke on a little press (24" is max on this press) and i really need them to be 30" so the bumper doesnt look pieced together... after getting the drawings for the bumper the other day, the engineer set up the bigger press and said it was impossible to bend that shape on this press. so i had to go show him my original bumper and said it was broke on that press 2 years ago, so its possible... he came back with "well maybe we can do it 1 time..." It comes down to the tooling has to have extensions on it, but just on the 2 ends (~32" apart) and that means 32" of unsupported tooling... and they don't wanna take the chance of doing multiple runs with an unsupported tooling... so i will talk to the couple people interested and get an idea going.... still have a BUNCH of hitch plates left! somebody buy a hitch! have 2 sets of material for sliders left...
  22. We've used it a couple times to test it out. Works awesome! Does exactly what I needed it to do. And it definitely wasn't cheap. I don't really care much for the cold saw/dry cut. This saw is so much easier to use. And I think more versatile.
