  1. http://palmsprings.craigslist.org/cto/3179691587.html I have seen this truck with my own two eyes almost every weekend for 2 years. It is faded and the interior is a bit ate up from the sun. This is a rare V6 with a 5 speed truck. It runs great too. I have been trying to track the owner down for a few months now. I called him and we talked a little yesterday. The truck is a little over priced but I am sure he can be talked down a little on it. It is not a MetricTon but it does have a hitch on it. I would hate to see this thing turned into a crawler.
  2. There was no sun roof in that truck. No MJ came factory with a sunroof. It was also a 2WD truck.
  3. What is the last six of vin number on your truck? I have one of the earliest produced trucks and mine is 003550. Is yours earlier than mine? My truck was built in 9/85 and put into service in 10/85. My truck is still a 86. I think yours is too.
  4. Somebody is looking for axles!
  5. Something tells me you're missing the alignment shoes. There should be 2 nuts on the back of each lower control arm pocket. You loosen these nuts and insert the shims between the LCA pocket and the shoe. If the nuts are not there then the shoe is missing. If they are you need a alignment shop.
  6. I have a power wheels with harbor freight rubber tires on it. There are writes all over the web about doing it. It will bust the plastic drive hub quick when they are bound up.
  7. I gotta give a huge thanks to Jim. Thanks for hooking me up with you're tools and man power. It was mine and Dakota's pleasure meeting you today. Hope your new headliner works out and I'll be hooking you up with some stuff next time I'm up this way!
  8. Sounds great! Thanks a lot and I'll see you in the morning. I'll be in a white Dodge 4 door with a shell on the back. Bo
  9. LOL! I'm stationed in 29 Palms. I'm used to the heat. But first thing in the morning works best. I gotta take my son shopping at about 10:30 or so. Do you have a torx bit to remove the seat belts? Worse comes to worse I fight it out with visegrips. How does 8:30 at Picapart sound?
  10. Henderson, I need to bum your tools. I left mine at the house. I need to grab the seats and carpet for Betty. What time? They open at 0800.
  11. Picapart has a 89 sitting there. I need to get there tomorrow and pull the carpet. Anyone wanna go?
  12. I'm in Vegas for the weekend and I'm hitting up a couple yards. Anyone? Any day?
  13. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1053970 This may or may not help
  14. I talked to Bronson a few times. The truck is going strong. It has had a starter relay go bad. Other than that she is still running good.
  15. That is very cool! It is amazing what a 20+ year old pick up can do to people. These are not just trucks. They are a life style. I can't wait for my son to drive Betty off for the first time once he gets his license. He is going to be the coolest kid in town.
  16. Hook the TCM up. It might be in limp mode.
  17. This is true. It was a very early 93 only thing. It went away in mid 93. Don't do it!

    Yahoo Mail

I keep getting messages on my phone that it can't connect to the server. I started using GMail as my primary account now. It has been this way for a week or so.
  19. Just watch over loading the truck with it in there. It can bend the axle. I have beat the hell out of a 44hd and never had a problem with one. They are a stout piece.
  20. You know that diff is a D44HD with the aluminum center section right? It is a good diff if you truss it and get a really strong cover for it. The gear ratio and lockers are limited though.
  21. Congrats Rob!
  22. The 97+ doors will bolt on to the old style hinges without any mods needed. As was said earlier you have to mod the striker in the door jamb.
