  1. Is the truck an auto or a stick? If it is a stick I would go with 4:10s or 4:56s Auto without a doubt 4:56s
  2. I think 89 or 90 was the first year of the 4WD Elims.
  3. There goes that idea. I am done trying to figure out Jeep.
  4. I am starting to wonder if the standard trans trucks came with full guages and the auto on the columns had lights?
  5. As seen in the rules sticky at the top of the Tech Forum. It is stated as one of Pete's suggestions, When I was instated as a Moderator, one of the things I was asked to do was nicely enforce this by Pete. I have sent numerous PMs to folks and have asked them tactfully to not post things for sale in the Tech Forums. I am posting this and asking for your cooperartion in ensuring that the Tech forums stay just that, Tech. If you have something to sale please PM the person. Thanks for your help with this, Bo.
  6. The rest of the guys hit everything spot on! But I must say that the shell on that truck is awesome! I would love to find one like that. That truck is really nice all around. I think I would run a Carfax on it. I have not seen very many Pioneers with the idiot lights either. I would wonder if the cluster was changed. Check and see what Carfax has to say about the mileage.
  7. So true Brent! You can always go into the User CP and change the board setting to silver or some other color you like. Click User Control Panel Then click Board Preferences on the right About mid page you will see "My board style" , change to a color you like. Maybe that will help ya some?
  8. I changed the color and size of my Onyx link in my sig. I did it just like any other wording you want to change. Highlight it and click the color. :dunno: Unless you are talking default colors on the links. It is hard to see them sometimes.
  9. If I am not mistaken, 90 XJ and down use the same floor brackets whether a 4 door or not. Any center console will work up to 96. You just need need to pull the gear pattern out for the auto and clip the shifter boot in. Unless it is a MJ console it will have the hole in it for the parking brake handle. Make sure you get the rear floor mount out of the donor XJ to bolt the console in.
  10. "How high's the water ma ma?"
  11. I got the D44 off the truck with the cherry picker and some chain. It was pretty easy too, great idea you had!
  12. Most MJs are floor shift autos. I have seen a lot less column shifted trucks. You could always change out the column and shifter.
  13. Your first truck was a work of art. I have no doubt in my mind this one will be just as nice. Where in GA are ya? I would like to see your trucks sometime.
  14. He is up in Cartersville. Nice project man! I was nice seeing you again on Saturday.
  15. I have had 2 LWBs and now I have a SWB. I personally like a LWB better. The bed is more useable for hauling stuff when you need the gate closed. I have also found that I could put my 300 EX and my boys 250 ATVs in the bed of a long box. Not going to happen with the short box.
  16. I am not real familiar with Villa Rica. I do not ever go over there. As fas as I know it is farm country for the most part. I am about 30-45 mins (depending on traffic) N.East of there. If you want to swing buy, have a beer and talk MJs please do. Bo
  17. That's because you don't have to work on them everyday! I can't stand them! The older trucks weren't bad. Now with all the armor and 4L80E transmissions they are junk. There are over 100 things that will lock that transmission in 2nd gear!
  18. I for one would love to see pics of the truck posted. I think XJ (Cherokee) mud flaps could be made to work. They are not that different than the Comanche.
  19. Sadly your post was permanetly deleted, Deleted topic ยป Wanted: Someone to wrench on my truck near 12017 You will have to retype it if you would like to have it back. There is nothing the Admin on this site can do to get it back, sorry. As far as off roader not looking in this thread to respond to this post. I understand it, I never come in here, unless I am having a problem I do not venture that far south on the forum. He may have just not looked at the post. How about you PM him and you 2 work it out back channel?
  20. Looky here http://www.stu-offroad.com/suspension/d44brake/bc-1.htm
  21. I was not the one who deleted your post. I did not see it at all to be honest. I have been a little bit busy the last few weeks. I can say one thing. I do feel you are taking this "they deleted my post" thing a little too far. You have 2 threads on it now. Repost your thread in the for sale section. Make sure you put in the post that you are deployed and what not. Make sure you post that I said you can leave it there. I think the mods will leave it be then.
  22. I will be using the XJs doors as well. I will be taking everything from the doors forward off the XJ to put on Onyx. Come by anytime. If it ain't raining I am wrenching on the truck.
  23. Not to hard really. Just so happens Juan (Rjeep) on NAXJA just rolled his 2 door. He is chopping the top so he had no need for the door switches. I traded him my old tailgate for the drivers door panel and switches. The little cover plate was a PIA to switch! Really... It wasnt plug n play with the switch?? I have some 01 doors, but I think Ill use the extra switches for something (power rear slider ((I WISHED)) or power tailgate or something in the way)... What all did you have to do to make the 2 button work? I was guessing the connectors diff, but havent found a 2 door 97- up with power?? The switch is fine. It is the little plastic cover on the door panel that sucks to change. It is screwed, clipped, and pinched in the door panel. You'll see if you look at your door 97+ panels.
  24. Mine were 13MM through out the seat. They should all be nuts. The studs will sometimes come out with the nut. Then it gets stuck on the seat mount.
