  1. They ain't half bad. I got a chuckle out it. It took a lot more thinking to come up with those than I have time to do! BTW, I like the bottom option on the poll. It too made me smile.
  2. They are pretty tall compared to stock. I would not use them in a truck with the old style dash at all. You would get stuck under the steering wheel. The steering wheel location in the 97+ is a couple inches higher than the old trucks. I still have about 4 inches of head room left and I am 5' 9" tall or so.
  3. Good on you brother! That is a very stand up thing to do.
  4. Pat, I an going to clean it up before I paint it. It got dark on me last night and I had to spray bomb it before I put her back to bed. James, is this weekend good for you? PM if you like.
  5. Ren, My CPU is doing the same thing on PB. Just right click and copy the link. It works for me that way.
  6. Using Monkey Wrench's weldless hinge repair write up from NAXJA http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=986973 I was able to take my busted up hinge from this... to this... All in about 2 hours time! I drilled and tapped all the hole and used red locktight for the ones going into the plate on the body. For the bolts in the hinge I have not locked them down permanetly yet. Once I fit the door I will then use blue locktight on them. I also used RTV on all the seams to keep it water tight.
  7. Yep, used it today! Thanks for the great write up! See page seven in my project thread for the repair.
  8. I noticed that the upper hinge on Onyx had been re-welded at some point in her life. The more I looked at it the worse it looked. I finally decided to see if I could just send some bolts through the hinge or use a MoPar repair kit. Neither will repair this mess! If you had as much time as I do into this truck how would you fix this. BTW the pics are sickening!
  9. Please read the classified rules prior to posting your threads. At a min. your thread title needs to have WTB or FS, Location, and a discription of what you are looking for or getting rid of. EXAMPLE, WTB: GA: stock dome lights Additionally there is a Craigslist thread. Please post anything you find on CL in that thread, do not post a new thread for a CL add. Thanks for your help.

  11. I have never heard of a ring gear spacer for the D30. Like was said, just get the right carrier.
  12. Been done by me in Onyx. Click the link in my sig. About 1/2 way down on page 4.
  13. Those are some great ideas Pat. I can't wait to see the pics.
  14. You are missing the / in the rear img tag [/img]
  15. I didn't know keystone made a hood for the X/MJ? Are'nt Keystone hoods fiberglass too? The Reflexxion hood is steel. AFAIK, Reflexxion is their own company based out of TN.
  16. There is a pendulem (SP?) lock inside the seat belt spool. When you slam on the brakes it swings forward locking the belt in place. Sometimes they will not lock by simply pulling on them. Try to park on a steep hill with the front facing downhill. If they are working correctly they will lock until you get the truck flattened out. When I tore Onyx down the seat belt spools was full of dust, pocket lint, and other stuff. I cleaned the spools out and they worked fine. Take the side panels off the Jeep and see if your belt spools are full of gunk.
  17. Most car seats come with a metal clip to put on the seat belt to keep it from becoming loose. Check this out, page 11, in the PDF http://www.elitecarseats.com/assets/product_files/instructions/Fisher-Price/101633.pdf
  18. Nice truck at a great price! Welcome to the club.
  19. Copying you? Nope, you are just getting your parts faster than I am! :wall: Before long Onyx and Marvin will be twins. Except I will have a newer interior in mine. I could have took the easy way out like you did and just went bolt on first! :rotf: :rotfl2: Thanks for the tip about checking it before I leave.
  20. This is a round about feeler thread. Feelers are not allowed in the classifieds. Please list some parts for sale or sadly your thread will be locked.
  21. I just found this hood online cheap! It was hidden somewhere on thefind.com, Here is the link, have it shipped to your nearest 4 Wheel Parts for free and only pay $399+ tax. I paid $423.99 for mine today. We'll see if 4WP will honor it. http://www.4wheelparts.com/prodDetail.aspx?jeep-parts=true&partNo=HIC731800
  22. Wahoo, you might just loose that color scheme to Onyx. I love it!
  23. I don't really care about them tilting or not. It will make hiding the amp easier. I won't be putting anything behind the seats either. This truck will be a DD and I will be the only person in it 98% of the time. My stuff can stay on the passenger seat or floor when I am driving to and from work.
