So ...... did this problem exist before you changed the above mentioned parts? or did it JUST start?

Well when your offroad, unless you have a trophy truck... you won't be going very fast in 4wd. I don't think i ever get over 15 mph. lol No reason really. This isnt a desert race truck. lol.

2 ways. find loose dirt like, dusty stuff. put in 4wd... either lean out the window and look right behind the tire or have a friend who has a brain watch for you. mash it and look for a little upset in the dirt. If the wheel isnt being powered the dirt will be smooth/undisturbed. Also you can drive up a steep incline thats covered in loose dirt/gravel. when you start spinning the rears and can't go.... you then back down... engage 4wd and try again. Now you go right up? its workin. :) I like the comment someone made about the lurching. If you put it in 4 low and then turn around you will know its in 4wd. the truck will hunch up and buck. Cause this transfer case doesnt have a diff in it like some do. Its full lock when its on. I call it "hunchy". lol

I know this doesnt help much, but I'm just thinking out loud. These last post confirm my path easily. there are no less than 10 jeeps i can buy right now for around 1k that are auto 4x4. Aint no way i would do all this work to a jeep to convert it when i could buy another one that came that way. lol.

well then go forth. Pop out the gear grinder and put in a slush box. :) I want auto in my manch too, cause i plan on crawlin. But its too much a pain, and mine is too minty to mess up. So I'm hunting either an auto chero or another manch thats auto. Then i can jack that all up and exocage it and not care when i tumble it in moab..lol.

Prob bad wheel bearing. jack up the front and spin the wheels and listen. Also grab each wheel top and bottom and wiggle. See if you have any play. That will show you which one is toasty. But usually you will hear the nois when you spin the offending side. :)

Filed a case today. BENT. he says hes still having "major" family issues. I understand, thats fine. But you don't allow your fam issues to affect your buyers. You refund their money. Which he says he can't do now... WTF? So we shall see how it plays out.

You just need a new clutch dude. Either has oil on the friction lining or its been overheated. If you pull it all out, check flywheel and either replace or have someone with a brain and a rock table surface it, then replace the rest. Your issue will be gone. for WAYHAY less than 1500 bucks. You could buy an entire automatic manche for that much.

Well anything CAN be done. So I'm sure you could get the jeep trans behind the 4bt (adaptor plate), but id doubt it would live long at all. The 4bt came with a TH400 behind it. Which is just peachy so its best to use that the way it came. As for your MT woes.. you must have a bad motor mount of something is wrong. Cause my jeep is like taking off in an automatic cadillac. Maybe you can do a vid of what its doing? or a detailed description? With pricing being so good on these vehicles, you could prob either trade your MJ to someone who wants a manual here on the forums, or buy another MJ thats an auto and then have both. But id rather help you sort the issue your having than send you down the not so cheap road of auto conversion. :dunno:

yeah rule of thumb is...never buy any electrical stuff from autozone. EVER. Napa or Oreilly. I order from rock auto and be happy. :)

Thats the only issue. He gave a delivery date of aug 3-5.Claiming he has to "make" the part. So i emailed right when i payed and said... is that for real? or do you usually get em done quicker. He said... 5 days it will ship. BUT by ebay rules he has until those dates to deliver. Yet.... i think that puts me past the resolution center date? never had this issue before so I'm feelin like a newb. Just don't want to get juked. I'm sure ebay will stand by my side if i don't get my parts, but... i don't know.

anyone have experience with "brown_family_sales" on ebay? He only has one negative feedback so i thought i was safe. He shows a nice steel 2 inch spacer and super heavy duty shackle for the rear and the price is very good. So i payed for it on 6-18 and its been a nightmare to get him to communicate. He replied and said he had a family issue. I still don't have my parts and he said hed ship within 5 days. THEN had the family issue. So I'm being patient but... dude why post $#!& for sale if you don't either have it ready to ship or don't plan on working on it for... a MONTH? and then take 5-10 days at a time before replying? Just write me and refund my money.

i JUST finished doing this repair to my truck. The PO fell asleep at the wheel and hit a big lexus. So if you need any help or parts let me know. I'm sure the insurance will want to total your truck. They always do. The "fair market value" will be way less than what a body shop will ream you for to repair it. So.. buy back the truck for 200 bucks and take the check they give you and fix it. :)

Yep usually after an accident the module will need replaced with the bags. It does its job once and thats it. And when the new one is installed they usually need to code it for what the vehicle is so it knows what to do. hence the reason camjeep3's light is on. Replace the bags and module and drop it off at the dealer for recode/clear module.

Can you explain what this is for? and what it does? I mean, if it was to blow cool air for humans, great idea. but.... why is there a trans cooler of sorts IN the ice chest? what are they cooling with it in this application? Seems like its not for human cooling in this app.

cruiser is thinkin what I'm thinkin. possible bad starter. worn out and not engaging straight on. Will cause it to drag or not even engage. Just clunk. what is it doing exactly anyways?
