Ok cool...I wish I could go wheeling...it's been raining a lot out here in south Florida but got tired of the mudding scene I actually want to try out some rocks...even though I've got a mild lift maybe try a road trip up north if anything....hope everything goes good with the cuda love the way they look!
What motor and trans do you have?
I normally put 5w-30 in engine
10w-30 synthetic oil in transmission(ax5)
Diffs 75w-90 gear oil
Transfer case- automatic transmission fluid
Are you losing motivation on working the truck itself?
I've had moments that I've invested so much money in the truck that I lose motivation everyday!
But what motivates me up is the people who turn their heads wondering about my cherokee truck or the custom jeep I created! Lol
The deal isn't bad regarding a gas saving car but you'll miss the comanche even more because of the antique patina it brings to a lot of these guys on this site that can't let go or buy more than one truck.
Another update...I changed my transfer case fluid and no metal shavings anywhere to be found and the fluid looked brand new....
Anyone else has input? Or any experiences?
I have not dropped my transmission yet to check the fly wheel....my mechanic took my fly wheel to be machined and changed clutch, slave cylinder, master cylinder, and everything else...
So the problem has gotten worse...although I haven't changed my motor mounts....it grinds in gear...lately I've been driving street and highway. It only happens now when I'm in gear...shifting into gear has no grinds no struggle to put into gear.... While in gear something's grinds like when your cable goes out and that shhhhh noise appears. That's how the grinding noise sounds...yesterday I was able to replace my transmission fluid with 10w-30 synthetic oil and on the drain plus there was a thick layer of metal shavings...I drove it last night with no problems and this morning with no problems it starting grinding today driving city but in gear(in any gear actually) ...could this be the result of my ax5 going out?
Please help its my daily driver and I'd hate to be stranded by yhis
The turbine wheels would've been a plus. Congrats on the wedding! my best bud just had his wedding two weeks ago! It was awesome! Looks like yours was to!
I consider it both...it's good to see different point of views of people doing the conversions of the newer Cherokees...more insight on the struggles you guys go through that make it easier for others in the long run.
