  11. I've had a Poulan for several years. It has worked fine, and I've used it quite a bit. Brent is right about the chain tension, but I've never had it fly off  . If ya get that Echo, get rid of that tip guard.

  13. What if you just find an old pop up and use the main part of it. I would try for a hard side. Eliminate the front fold out, but keep the rear. Sounds like an interesting project.

  15. That's a great ad.
  16. "had to" as in it was a required project, or "had to" because you have a serious caffeine problem? :D .
  17. I have found the half cup style to be the strongest. Especially if it has a ball bearing in the drive screw. My snap on one was over 100 bucks. The hex on the drive screw is rounded on the end so you can apply pressure then tap it with a hammer.
  18. First, what engine do you have? 4.0 and 2.5 don't really have a PCV, just a fixed orifice to vent the crank case with manifold vacuum. Even if you switched out the CCV , did you check to see if vacuum is getting to the grommet? If it is a 4.0, there may also be a flapper valve below the grommet that can get stuck closed with grunge causing same issue. Easiest thing is to remove cover and clean out thoroughly. As far as the timing chain fixing blow-by :huh???:
  19. The pizza joint is only 5 blocks away, and they don't charge delivery on the bill, so he/she gets $2.00 unless it is a huge party order or something. Most of the time we do pick up though.
  20. just one :brows: Just dug around in the shed and found one. PM me your address and it's on the way. Glad you and your boy are OK.
  21. Hey Erik, How many center caps you missing? I might have a couple hanging around.
  22. Sorry Pete, guess I should have been more clear on my Pete's
  23. Received a reply from Scott Schramm today, as did Pete! :D . I will let Pete post it as he sees fit
  24. Hmmmm, I was thinking television :thwak: . Sorry, never used one, but would love to own one. Keep us informed about what you get and how you like it.
  25. If it turns out you need to disassemble, consider pulling the whole column assy and clamping it in a vise on a bench. It is a WHOLE lot easier that way. Too bad you weren't local, I'ld do the rebuild for ya.
