  1. I did that swap, but had to cut out a window and switch the PRNDL over as well. You should have a dremel tool and a 12 pack. Just try and get a same year cluster as there were some differences in speedo cable mounting.
  2. How about a picture? Not clear on the holes.
  3. Looks nice. Also has cruise and tilt. Desireable options.
  4. No, you are suffering extreme pain and having crushing anxiety attacks. You may need therapy for decades. :papers:
  5. You are correct on the pads. Not sure about the hole thing though. Usually the backings have a slightly different shape to them as well btwn inner and outer. Be sure to check the surfaces that the pads ride on. If they are too badly notched or grooved, you may need to replace the sub-caliper piece.
  6. We'll be getting some of that in the next day or so, but it will be white instead :D
  7. What, you aint ever seen an aluminum submarine before? :fool:
  8. This is why I really want some sort of headrests in my truck!
  9. You would need to do a set up for the ring gear back lash. Pinion depth wouldn't change.
  10. I used to install the Rust Evader units many years ago. Total useless crap. I tried to talk people out of them, which pissed off the parts and sales guys. There was no sacrificial anode, with the rust prevention purported to come from a slight electrical charge generated by two boxes hooked to the inner front fenders. But the customers had the satisfaction of opening the hood and looking at a blinking light on the control box, confident that it was keeping their Hyundai Excels from disintegrating in the NY road salt.
  11. I would have to say from the information you have posted, no. I would definitely want to see before paint job pics of the truck. It could be hiding tons of poorly repaired rustout. Check the floor. Our trucks are notorious for being Flintstone mobiles. Alot would depend on the quality of the conversions that were performed on it. Pics would be helpful. Personally, for 3K, you could find what you wanted in a Comanche that wasn't a conversion.
  12. Here are a couple of (bad) pics of a mis-struck quarter I've had for a while. The date is visible and there are no ridges on the edge.
  13. I definitely prefer buckets, But I'm kinda stuck with bench for now cause of having two kids. Soon they will be too old to both ride with me and then I can switch.
  14. Did you change the two headbolts that have the pins on top to hold the gasket in place?
  15. I went and looked at my truck. The alt charge wire goes to the stud on this relay just to use it as a junction point, but there is a fusible link on there. Did you check the link?
  16. Can you be a little more descriptive on the "hard shifting" thing?
  17. I could be wrong, but I don't remember that truck being for sale in Al when it was on e-bay before. Seems like it was further north cause I had it in my "watch" folder. Aw heck, maybe it wasn't even this truck  .
  18. Anyone ever do a MPI swap on a 2.8? I used to work on a guys s10 Blazer that had a MPI engine from a Firebird in it. It moved OK. I remember seeing that truck for sale on e-bay before, probably when the dealer was selling it.
  19. I do like the original humvee. And I could probably own a H2, but those H3's are for secretaries and soccer moms with control issues.
  20. The dots on the sprockets are to verify valve timing. To set ign timing you need to do what you did with the compression at #1 plug hole.
  21. Now you just need to do a lifted one
  22. OK, who voted for the hummer? You know he's talking about the GM product, right? :D
  23. Ya mean this lobby?
  24. We did three days there and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. Saw ONE character wandering around total for all three days. And it was just pluto. In 95 when I was there. they were all over the place.
  25. Hang in there bud, something will come your way. Got my shirt and hoodie today . How did you get them in such a small box?? :hmm: . Went to Arrigo CDJ in West Palm to get the oil changed in the van I was driving. Nice place. Lousy looking retail parts area. Small rack of shirts, couple of hats. A few accessories. Browsed in there for 15 or 20 minutes. Not one of the parts guys at the counter even acknowledged I was there. Would have bought my wife a travel Jeep mug if they would have been human. Oh well. :dunno:
