Yes, and yes, and yes.

I'm eliminating the ignition switch. If I probe the violet wire that goes to the temp gauge (appears to be the only one effected) I get 9 volts. As seen in the images below, any other circuit reads about 14 volts. If I jump the violet wire from another circuit, to give it 14 volts, the temp gauge goes down from normal (200 degrees) to about 125 degrees. If I ohm the violet wire to ground, the gauge sweeps fully to the right. 9 volts seems to be what it requires. I took the extra ignition switch apart to see if there was some type of resistor, there is not. You guys have any idea what's going on here? Thanks.

Just My luck- Broken 2.5l oil pressure fitting
Jeep Driver replied to Swampy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There's a chance someone JB'd the elbow in the block, serious about that. I'd get a buddy to run the oil pump while I drilled and tapped. Bleed out the wound to keep it clean. It would take two guys who knew what they were doing, and even then there is always a chance of contamination. I'll agree with someone above, there's a chance you may have to pull the engine and strip out the block.........might as well rebuild. -

I don't know why I feel I have to defend myself here................? I've sold quite a few parts lately, just sold my block and rods 30 minutes ago and gave the guy a crank for free. Most of what I've sold on Ebay I've accepted the offer made and did not get my asking price. A few times the shipping was over, way over, and it actually cost me money to ship the item, IOWs it cost me to sell it, I lost money. Just last week I shipped a member here something and I paid shipping and told him not to worry about it. So, Swampy, send my your addy and I'll ship to you, no cost, it's yours. PM me. Nothing is ever what it seems. -

Brassadium. Ebay and PP take 15%, I've got to print a label, put it in a box or yellow padded envelope, drag my happy-ass to the PO, pay USPS $3.50 which is the minimum First Class with tracking. In the end, I make like $4.00 for my bother. -

There's no difference between the 87 and 88, I have the same (Mopar) master/slave, it bolts right up.

Vintage wheels for Comanche
Jeep Driver replied to NC Tom's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Very common, Ford and Dodge, Toyota too. I actually considered these- https://www.summitracing.com/parts/usw-455-5810400?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-u-s-wheel&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn-bWBRDGARIsAPS1svsE0InD09nNtxSl6LRlgWg6PvIDm4SqOy2ogxIk3gR4E-wKEFCjqsMaAudgEALw_wcB But, I'm no longer interested in 15" wheels. -
Shredding belt, cracked pulley?

Every factory pulley I've seen, including both of mine have the split in the spline. -

This is a oil passageway, anything but an extractor is asking for trouble. NAPA sells a decent 4pc extractor set for about $15, it's good. -
Actually, I have even stronger opinions. I'm not a boot-licker nor a cheerleader nor an @$$-kisser nor a follower. By the time he's done with the MJ he'll have an easy $20K or beyond, yeah, a fool. Not necessarily for the money spent but the way he's going about it. The average guy does not spend $10k on a donor. As far as I know.....Bleepnjeep started out as a quasi how-to channel, now he's transformed it into the escapades of an idiot. His livelihood depends on viewers remaining interesting in his programming, when he begins to bore his viewers with teasers and prequels that lead to nowhere........we go elsewhere, and we have plenty others to choose from. I fast forward through his $#!&e now. There are many others, such as- Nicks Garage, KCs Paint Shop, Finnegin's Garage, Stacy David, Jonathan Ward, Road Less Traveled, Jay Leno's Garage....etc....all with excellent content and no begging for Patreon dollars. And a few worth paying for, like MTOD. Some of these guys are earning some real money, it would not shock me if Matt is pulling in 10K a month, not only do they get paid for current views but they also make money on residuals. Just for a little perspective, Casey Niestat pulls down better than $30K a month from YouTube alone.

Check out Formula E.................not boring. Best vid I can find of an E car on road course.

He paid $10K for that CJ, $10k for an LS and two axles........and now he's having trouble with the front axle. A fool and his money.................... He's providing for his family, his travel escapades, and his projects..........and he ain't crying poor.
