  1. Think diesel-electric. My little 3 cyl Kubota will run/mow for 3 hours at full throttle on 1.5 gal of diesel. No reason why a diesel-electric could not get about 180 mpg.
  2. Matt is playing a money game, I don't appreciate it, and I told him so. Matt has begun to bore me. It's the money, it's always about the money. Some of these guys are pulling some significant money every month, and they will do nothing that negatively effects the flow.
  3. If your MC is good there is no reason to replace it. Just replace the booster.
  4. Wow! never seen a combo pulley like that before either, V and serpentine. Rare bird that one is. Don't lose it.
  5. It's off an 04 WJ. Holes need to be drilled and tapped.
  6. I often wonder about what happens to retired tooling. MJ tail light molds for example, not the entire process, but the molds themselves, a remnant of the molds, one each, are likely tucked away in a warehouse somewhere and long forgotten about. It would not surprise if the Big3 have underground vaults where select cars are stored, 69 Camaros, 68 Mustangs, 70 Challengers....etc.....that come straight off the assembly line, 0 miles, never driven, never again meant to be touched or seen.........don't guess the public would ever know, but I suspect so.
  7. interesting. 7 years of looking at parts engines, belt diagrams, pics......etc..........this is the first I've seen of this. In your first link, that is the AC delete that I've seen plenty of...........Swampy's, this is the first. Why? same model year? No answer for that. Better find that pulley.
  8. IDK, I don't have my hands on it.
  9. Yeah, I see that. May have to cut and weld..........IOWs move the mounting point out about 1/2".....or whatever the difference is. I have the actual alt bracket on ebay but you need the AC delete..........you don't want to pay my price anyway. I'd suggest you look for an alt bracket and AC delete bracket and set it up the way it's supposed to be. May take you a while to find the parts though. In the mean time....cut and weld.
  10. Your alt is correct, this is not the source of your problem.
  11. Later model MPI has bracketry like that, MPI accessories are closer to the block, Renix is further from the block, that might explain why the alt is in closer.
  12. Strange, never seen this before. This is the only one I can find that resembles yours, and his looks cobbled together. The only thing I can tell you is to use spacers or washers to bring the alt out and in line. Jump ahead to about 6:00
  13. That is not factory, there is no idler pulley on the 2.5.................even with AC delete, and AC delete is an AC bracket over the alt with a pulley to replace the AC compressor. IOWs just the same as mine less the compressor.
  14. This is how the '88 is set up, any other way and it is not stock.
  15. Is that a 88 2.5? Something there does not look right. AC?
  16. I was under the impression that the Chinese Cherokee was a licensed product.
  17. Just to clarify- Only handguns are banned from possession in a USPS building. Long guns are perfectly legal, I've shipped more than 40 rifles to FFLs over the counter at POs. Handguns are regularly shipped overnight from FFL to FFL through the USPS.
  18. You may find this interesting, now I remember why I could never find a straight answer- https://www.quora.com/Is-Bashar-al-Assad-a-Shia-Muslim
  19. I'm not Christian and I do not support idolatry, that said.... Don't you find it odd that the president of Syria, a Sunni Muslim, allowed a statute of Jesus to be erected in his largely Muslim country? http://orthochristian.com/65175.html I won't post the image, see link.
  20. Conversation flows...........I was leading him. So, I'll ask you this question- Why does the Western world want Bashar gone? The Arab Spring failed.....set that aside. I looked into Assad several years ago and I'm not going to study him again......but, IIRC..... He is officially secular, however, his wife is Sunni, so I'm going to assume that he is too (Asama is British, both are highly educated, both are Westernized). Bashar, as did his father before him, has a history of protecting the minority religions, minority Muslims as well as Christians and Jews. Pre civil war all were permitted to worship freely within Syria. Why does the West want him gone? How is it the West has made him out to be evil?
  21. I can assess what I see, you have a problem with that? Why?
  22. I watched the US briefing on the airstrikes on Saturday morning, first thing I noticed was that the targets were insignificant. I suspect the Putin got a heads up and gave his blessing. This airstrike was for Western idiot consumption. Assad is not the evil tyrant he is made out to be. And frankly, I have more trust in Putan than any of our own leadership, including Trump whom I voted for. Watch here, how the morons at Sky News cut off the British general as he was about to explain that Assad was set up.........and he was. And there is no doubt in my mind that it was the work of our own CIA.
  23. Words have meaning. Your Right to carry SHALL not be infringed. I just read the wiki version of IN carry laws, it's good to see that IN have cleaned up their mess. My father lives in NE IN, I was visiting there in '98 with my kids when I was pulled over, arrested, XJ impounded, guns confiscated.........a fiasco, and a chicken$#!& arrest. A-misdemeanor, 1 year in jail. Illegal transport of a firearm. IN laws pretty much mirror TN laws with one important exception, here in TN private enterprises SHALL not infringe on my right to carry. IN is a SHALL issue state........this is good. And an open-carry state, as is TN, even better! As it should be. I go armed everywhere, well armed. One thing you must remember, you own your gun, YOU are responsible for YOUR gun at all times, box, no box, locked 6 ways to Sunday or not, YOU are ALWAYS responsible. Say nothing to no one, once someone knows you have a box, they know your habits. Never allow anyone to have possession of your truck with your gun locked in the box, they have the truck, they have the box, they have the gun, locked or not, they have possession, not you.
  24. Yes they do, desperately. https://www.ft.com/content/352f4cac-6c7a-11e7-b9c7-15af748b60d0 https://oilprice.com/Geopolitics/International/Russias-Grip-On-European-Gas-Markets-Is-Tightening.html It's about oil and gas, money. You'll read articles that state the Russia wants to run gas/oil pipelines through Syria, you'll find articles that state they don't, you decide. But, you can be guaranteed it's about money and power, Russia is there for a reason.
  25. Ancient history through contemporary history is what interests me. People, who they are, their lineages, what they do, why they do it, this I find fascinating. I am, or always have been, a news junkie. 90% of what you have been taught, of what you are being told, is BS. For nearly a decade now I've been trying to sift through the BS to get to the truth. Nearly five years ago I cut the cable, I no longer allow these propagandists into my home, these liars. I remain informed but no longer am I indoctrinated. How you get to a point whereas you are able to discern the lies, the BS? it's a process one goes through. I used to come home and read and read and read, every news article I could on a particular event, now I'm much more selective, now that I see through the BS, and it all makes more sense to me. The short answer to your question- no. Damascus is the canary in the coal mine, however. Study it. What you should be more concerned with is what these idiots are doing to our economy.
