  1. No, I won't' be getting anymore Fridge magnets...............lol
  2. You likely have a ground issue somewhere
  3. Yep, plenty around here too. Hate'm.
  4. You can still fiberglass that. I'd use 4 layers around the hole area, two layers over the entire foot well, one over the outside at the area shown in pic.
  5. I wouldn't trust that you actually have 60 at idle.
  6. Clean it, convert it, glass it. Perfect candidate for glass, two layers, stronger than before and will not rust again.
  7. https://chattanooga.craigslist.org/pts/d/complete-99-cherokee-xj-part/6612881822.html Looks like an SE for manual doors

  10. https://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/d/1989-jeep-comanche-sale/6606042327.html Kind of a rare one, 2.5, auto, long bed.
  11. That looks nice, very nice.
  12. You won't like my answer. New MJ fuel tanks are available. Here- https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-86-Jeep-Comanche-Fuel-Tank-sending-unit-assy-18-23-5-gallon-tank-52003652/232057535509?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 Now, run an aftermarket fuel pump, not a cheap POS, but a quality pump and regulator.
  13. Here, these will fit your 4-4.5" lift. Bilstein 33-186542 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-33-186542?cm_mmc=ppc-google-_-search-_-brands-_-keyword&gclid=CjwKCAjwr-PYBRB8EiwALtjbzwKKer2fUaBi6uTYxXF6OJwoEmu9eSf86UEiZPJtTVT38JO3_WiqPhoCjOsQAvD_BwE These are the ones I have on mine.
  14. Fortunately the MJ and XJ windshields are the same, otherwise we may have been SOL. The 'green' is the factory color for Jeep, pretty sure about that. Likely yours was not clear, but that the tint has bleached out after 30 years. If you go with an independent installer......ie........not Safelite, you can get the newer glass with rubber trim/seal. The only difference is that yours has a Ford mirror mount and the newer has a GM mirror mount, just pick up a later XJ mirror.
  15. I saw those. I know they have a good product, but wow! $300 That is likely what I'll go with. $300? Dirt F'ing cheap! And you'll find in time that anytime we can get any parts/accessories for our trucks, you'll be grateful.
  16. OP, I would agree with those whom have come to the conclusion that it's either worn lifters or push rods. Since there is no way to adjust the valves............you live with it, until, well, the inevitable.
  17. I'm referring to a sound. Countless threads and discussions. https://www.google.com/search?q=4.0+jeep+sounds+like+diesel&oq=4.0+jeep+sounds+like+&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l4.18291j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  18. What you may be hearing is a dieseling sound..............our 98 does and many others have reported it.
  19. With the intermediate shaft gone and the wheel removed and lying flat.............. Over sized box and weight, depending on where it's going, expect to pay $35-$45 shipping. I swapped with a tilt column only because it was available, it's in the non-tilt position, and it will remain there. Cool to have.........I guess..........but not an end-all be-all. The slop is easily fixed, do it before you install. Kind of intimidating but once you do one, nothing to it.
  20. The Morels look interesting. Kind of curious as to why more MJ people are not interested in sound?
  21. Thank God I live where I live.
