  1. Alright good to know, I took off the weather strip on the front doors of the cherokee since they were in better condition and it fit nicely.
  2. I have a 98 cherokee 4.0L 4WD that I'm gonna take parts off of before I scrap it due to really bad rust underneath. What parts would fit on my 90 4.0L comanche that I could replace or keep for spares? Preferable things that are a fairly easily replacement or require little modification. I've only taken off the wiper arm linkage so far which is a direct replacement.
  3. Alright I'll search around and see what I find. I do have experience flaring brake lines so no issues there, but I'd have to buy the tools to do so. Probably not worth adding at this time since the brakes are still working fine
  4. My 90 comanche came with this adjustable proportioning valve when i bought it. It has a lift and the height sensing valve is no longer attached to the axle and is zip tied to be about parallel with the axle. I'm assuming this would used instead of the height sensing valve? How would I go about installing it?
  5. I'm gonna change the oil pretty soon so I'll put some seafoam in the crankcase once I get the truck insured and see if that helps the ticking before I pull the head off. As for the oil pressure, the scale is from 0 to 5.4 with no unit label so I'm assuming it's in BAR. Sits around the 3 at idle (~45 psi). Gauge might be a little off since it doesn't reset all the way to zero.
  6. Oil pressure is sitting around 60 psi at idle. I haven't gotten around to taking the rockers and push rods out yet since weather hasn't be good lately. I did take the cover off for a quick look and everything is tight and oil looks good. How would I go about checking the lifters without pulling the head?
  7. My engine has a faint but constant ticking sound that increases frequency with RPM. I poked around with a stethoscope and the noise is definitely loudest just below the cylinder head. I'm putting my bets on a lifter but I'd like to see what you all think.
  8. Great, thanks for the help
  9. I'm working on cruiser54's ground upgrade on my 90 comanche. I followed the IAT brown/white wire to a splice with 4 wires going to 2 (one is from the MAP sensor) along with loose shrink tubing. It's the exact same thing that he has in the picture on his sensor ground upgrade tip. Am I supposed to just cut the splice and re solder the same wires? Also can anyone identify the shiny blue wire with the bare wire coming out of it? Seems strange
  10. I'm in Canada and the part number on the module is 56004262
  11. Thanks, I'll try jumping the connector until i can get a replacement. I tested the red wire on the connector which comes from the ignition off draw connector and it always has 12v to it but i'm assuming that's normal and the module is just not shutting the lights off.
  12. Hey just wondering if anyone could tell me a way to diagnose a failed daytime running light module since there's very little info in the FSM. I have to leave it unplugged otherwise the lights never turn off and leaving it unplugged also disables my high beam indicator light on the dash.
  13. Need help diagnosing the windhisled washer pump on my 90 Comanche, here's what I have. Symptom: pump not running when windshield wash switch activated. Wipers does not cycle with wash switch unless pump is disconnected. Wiring/Connectors: Washer switch to connector on wiper module: .5v with pump connected and 11v w/o pump Washer pump wire on Connector B of wiper module: Same numbers and above Connector at pump: Same as above Pump: 30 ohms resistance and runs fine when removed from circuit Ground wire on pump measures 1ohm of resistance
