Steering Knuckle Replacement
Jeep Driver replied to Rinzler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah, OP needs to understand that he is to replace the unit bearing and not the entire knuckle. -
Friends, Family, Fools. Those are your only sponsors. At 19 I was working two jobs and busting my nuts on about 3 hours of sleep per day.........seven days a week. You'll have to sponsor yourself.

No. Headlight switch, first pull (parking lights) will be accessories, second notch out will be ignition plus acc, turn to dome and that will energize the starter button on column. Turn dome off to kill starter switch, the only reason I may want to do that is the starter button has a light in it. The idea is to conceal it within the dash, hide it in plain site. Just ideas...........nothing more...........chatting. But, something to think about.

Jeep Driver replied to Swampy's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Don't mean to give you a hard time.........but.............. Front fenders, hood, windshield trim, doors, header panel, rad support......etc........ There will come a day when these parts are impossible to find. That was not junk. -

Oh, he has something to sell? I had no idea.

My point is- There are aspects of the truck that interest me, flares, hood scoop, color, and soforth.......... If the guys owns a pizza shop........ok, I get it, I guess, whatever........ If the truck is finished, what's the point in a teaser???????? Dumb, flat out stupid. Show the truck or go home. Whoever produced this vid lost me, lost my interest, he screwed the pooch, epic fail.

Here's how it's done, properly. Entertainment. Or this one. Educational. Hollyweird has been put to shame by talented individuals.

Thanks, this is gen III in the process of gen IV. :) -
Just get the mount, plate, xmember from the donor of the AX15. Once it's in front of you it should be intuitive.

New "Retirement" Comanche
Jeep Driver replied to JMR 188's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I keep posting this pic............0 lift, crapped out springs, 31s, no rubbing............WJ lowers. As to what others are leading you to .........keep it simple. General Spring for the rear and OME 930 for the front. If you like a crisp ride/response, Bilstein 5100s, 2-3" lift for the front and you'll have to look up for the rears. At 2-3" your soft lines (brakes) will be fine. If you swap out, consider braided SS. I like JKS for shackles and TB...........to each his own............ 4.5 on 31s looks ridiculous, and is, IMO. Look beyond Amazon, if you need Tech or replacement, advise....etc............look to those who specialize in their products, look beyond what everyone else does.....kits and soforth. -
Phones It is funny how our language has changed, I (miss)spell words because of how they are sounded, our vocal language and written word no longer coincide. That vid was a waste of time, someone's attempt at being clever, it didn't work.

Alright, looks like the adapter bolts to the bottom of the AX15 and then bolts to the AX5 mount. That makes sense.

LED taillights and frenching buckets came today.

New "Retirement" Comanche
Jeep Driver replied to JMR 188's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
At 4.5 the Dakota hose is not quite long enough. You only need one. At 4.5 you'll want adjustable uppers and lowers. You won't be happy with Monroe. Front BPE is not necessary. No need whatsoever for the TC drop. The rest........eh.............I won't order from Bezos, that said, I want direct contact with any and all manufactures/retailers, regardless, and I do, worth a few bucks more. Summit, Jegs, Speedway, Wilwood, Fuel, Synergy, Quadratech, General spring, Ironman, JKS...........etc....... I won't order from Morris anymore as they don't list the MJ for parts on their website. And I wrote them and told them so, they don't care. Shackles, you'll probably need those as well. -
I pulled my first set of a PnP WJ, they were shot, I put them on the way I took them off the WJ. Guess I never thought about reversing them. There is some fore to aft movement with the oval end, that's why I shaved some off the top so it would not come in contact with the axle tube. These are on the wife's XJ now.
